What have they done for US lately. Really, what have they done for us?

Now we have that little hitler looking guy from Iran here on our own soil.

I pay taxes on this soil, shouldn't those of us who pay taxes have the right to petition for the eviction of this criminal and the rest of the UN?

Someone hand me some happy pills please and say something nice. LOL

Isn't it time that we stopped making the unquestionable and unstinting supprt of Israel the chief objective of our policy in the middle east?
The state of Israel has the right to its existence. They have a right to defend that existence and a right to seek help and alliances to protect themselves.
But I object to the protection of Israel being the cornerstone
for our foreign policy in that area of the world.
Many of the Arab and Iranian aspirations are legitimate and we would have done the world -and first and foremost ourselves! - a big favour if we had considered those aspirations pragmatically and objectively, with OUR best interests in mind and not Israel's.
We have alienated a whole people (who just happen to sit on some of the most valuable real estate in terms of energy supply on the whole planet) and have violated many of the precepts and values we hold most dear and most American just to back a foreign country.
Please, your thoughts?racial slurs and name calling not welcome

but then, three days later, abdul-sattar abu risha, leader of the "anbar awakening" (the guy george bush posed with in photo-ops) was assassinated. it became clear than anbar wasn't the bed of roses patreus said it was.

it is now known that the bush administration is actually paying off terrorists in anbar (with our tax dollars) to keep them from attacking us.
is this how a "decider" fights terrorism?
didn't he say he wouldn't negotiate with terrorists?
does this mean bush lied to us?
does this mean general patreus lied to us?
that he betrayed us?

Liberalism has a monopoly on every aspect of popular culture. TV shows, movies, actors, magazines, music, etc.. Everything is so liberal and PC these days, it's sickening. It's no wonder most young adults are liberal, they are fed and brainwashed by this crap from day one of their lives, through popular culture. That's not including all the liberal ideals that are pushed on them in the academic world from liberal teachers and professors.

Even though the war ground on without an end in sight, with casualties mounting, that others persisted in pursuing a strategy that he insisted would bring about eventual victory. Hardly anyone, including many in his own cabinet, shared that President's optimism.

For those readers who are a little history impaired, that war was the American Civil War and that President was Abraham Lincoln.

So how was it that Abraham Lincoln turned out to be right and his critics wrong?
