I was just curious to find out if most, if not all, liberals/democrats believed in the theory of evolution?

This is an honest question. I'm not looking for slams from other sides.

I definitely do. I am still religious, I believe that God helped shaped every step in evolution. It definitely happened though.

I'm a liberal, and I'm not convinced that the Theory of Evolution should be regarded as scientific fact, though it presently carries the weight of fact in the mainstream scientific community.

Transitional species are still a major sticking point. There is next to no evidence to support the existance of species in transition.

I'm open to examining the increasing pool of information that's being accumulated.

There is both liberal and "conservative" evolution. Hilary's health care plan has evolved from 1992 to today much in the way that the cockroach has evolved over the last 400 million years. Then there's Rudy's view on illegal immigration, which has evolved into a completely different creature over the last ten years. Not a slam on your question, just on politicians.

I'm not a liberal but I believe evolution is mostly correct. It has its flaws. I also believe in intelligent design. That may sound contradictory to some but I don't think the two have to be mutually exclusive. I could elaborate but that would take too much space and go too far beyond the basic question.

Yes. It's a proven fact, i.e. dinosaurs....

The question you meant to ask is "Do you believe man evolved from apes?"

This is an entirely different question, in my mind.

No. I am actually a TOTAL nutcase. I believe man was genetically engineered by an alien race. They took an ape, toyed with the D.N.A., and produced a human.

When I say 'I believe...', it doesn't mean that I spend all day thinking about this theory. It just seems the most rational theory that I can come up with. It's much more logical, in my mind, than having an all-powerful imaginary friend that may or may not send you to burn in hell for eternity.

"Evolution is the main hair-brained concept I even have ever heard." From countless the inane conclusions on your "question," that's incredibly glaring which you don't recognize, nor heard something approximately evolution. there is no longer a single scientist, evolutionist, or guy or woman who's 0.5 recommendations-ineffective that has ever asserted monkeys gave beginning to people, frogs gave beginning to crocodiles, that people could evolve wings, etc. Nor, are you proper once you're saying that, "Mutations in DNA are exceptionally much constantly undesirable." they at the instant are not, they're in basic terms nature's way of experimenting with making a species greater adaptable. seem, in case you by no ability have been given out of highschool, you probably should not be speaking approximately issues like evolution. you're so pitifully out of your league.

yes, I believe in evolution. It is a logical, scientific theory of how life began on earth. It may not be 100% true and may change in the future, however, for now it seems logical.

It's a combination of evolution and the garden of Eden.
Seeing as god only talks to President Bush, Pat Robertson etc. He was unavailable to answer my questions so I had to come up with my own theories.
Where did the towns people come from??? God Created Adam and Eve however the bible speaks of no other creations in that time period??? Are the towns people the ones who evolved???
This way it incorporates religion and evolution.

Yes I accept evolution. This isn't a liberal thing though. anyone properly educated on evolution will probably have to choice but to accept it. Only people who are ignorant to the science will not accept it.

I am a liberal and I am a scientist and I have to tell you that nobody should BELIEVE in evolution or any other scientific theory. There is no room in science for belief.

You can study evolution, you can understand it, you can agree with it, you can challenge it, you can try to refute it, you can use it as a pradigm to study complex biological question.

But you should never BELIEVE in it or it becomes religion instead of science.

I believe species evolve over time. I'm not sure that evolution explains how species begin. I'm just wondering why you think all liberals have the same beliefs in this area.
