They have the second largest oil reserve in the world! and decades from now when there crude oil manufacturing capability is efficient, crude oil will cost less, and gasoline will cost less.

So a decade from now would you rather have gas prices at 20 dollars a gallon or 6-10 dollars a gallon (considering inflation)

Long term, I fail to see how lowered gas prices in the future and freedom afforded to the Iraqis are a bad thing.

your thoughts?

The right very effectively smeared Kerry by discounting his Purple Hearts.

When left wingers try the same it usually backfires.

I'm moderate - conservative on some issues, liberal on some, but I was wondering how liberals on Y!A felt about political correctness. We already know how many prominent liberal speakers with loud voices in front of the camera feel, but how do regular everyday liberals feel?

I came across a story (yes it's on the dreaded conservative Fox News, sorry!), http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,191098,00.html

It talks about a set of rules made in 2006 toward Australian cartoon book illustrators that brings them quote: "face-to-face with American standards of political correctness."

It goes on saying cows shouldn't be shown with udders (huh?), asians can't have "asian-looking eyes" (actual quote), africans can't have big lips, don't show intellectual asians, show africans and women in power, elderly people can't be cripple,etc... list goes on.

Illustrator Roland Harvey replied that it was irrational. Do liberals, in general, think this is rubbish or that it helps society? I'm just curious.

Is it so Bush wouldn't have to ask for a draft? Is that also why the republicans wouldn't pass the bill that would have kept the troops home for as long as they were deployed? Why haven't the Bush twins voluteered for the military if Daddy believes in this war so much?

If a moderate conservative is in favor of civil unions for gays, supports some pro-choice positions, is opposed to the war in Iraq... is he/she really a 'liberal' from a hard right winger's perspective?

Or did you help Willie Jefferson row his boat ashore to save his money! Seems that a certian Redstate is doing a fine job of rebuilding but New Orleans (aka chocalate city) is lagging!

Ray Nagin and Kathleen Blanco murdered thousands of people in La. Time for justice!

I have worked on both coast and am back in New Orleans and it is sad to see how bluestaters extend a warm and hearty hand......for a handout instead of rebuilding

I'm 50 years old, have no bills, no debts. I have a good nest egg where I can quit work today and live off the interest. I work today because I need the health care.

But if Hillary gives us free health care, I would no longer have to work and pay taxes. I could live at home, and have you pay my health care. This would remove the shackles of work for me, and I would life off of your generosity.

Not having to work would also give me more time to go to the doctor to get those little things taken care of, that are too expensive for me now.

The more I think about it, the more I like other people paying for my health care.

Am I wrong, or do you plan to quit work when you get guaranteed free health care?

certain people? According to Columbia University, the Iranian President and Hitler would both be welcome to speak at their institution, but not an American who is critical of the current crisis in illegal immigration. What would happen to a Columbia student who protested the university's stance? Would he be arrested, expelled, assaulted by faculty and fellow students alike? What gives Columbia the right to be selective about who enjoys First Amendment protection? It certainly isn't the Constitution or the law of the land. I've placed this question in the "politics" section because Columbia's position is strictly political in nature, but it could have gone in the Law and Ethics section because Columbia is violating both the Constitution and the rules of ethical behavior. Universities in the western world were once institutions of learning, but are now nothing more than propaganda mills, replenishing the left and making a mockery of the term "higher education".

I read some other posts and around the web. People feel helpless in America with Bush. He has a grip on the citizens. The NAU is going full speed ahead without congressional oversight. Blackwater is a pirvate mitia http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nqM4tKPDlR8

The patriot act has defeted the American liberties. Mexico and Canada will be annexed into the North American Union and this explains why Bush will NOT seal the borders. Also explains why Bush wants amnesty for illegals.

wouldnt logic tell any terror fighting president to SEAL the borders afte 911? Bush had a republican congress for 5 years and would not seal the borders! why? for the NAU. terrorism isn't bush's interest. the NAU is. seal the borders and combat terroism- leave the borders open and welcome the NAU.

bush wants to sell vital U.S. ports to Dubai. What is Bush thinking? give an Arabic country control over our own U.S. ports? How does that combat terrorism?

What can we do to save America? Please? we are helpless.

The 9/11 commission report and the CIA backed his statements about 9/11 against the idiot Guiliani.

He has the most solid conservative voting record of any other candidate.

He wants to get rid of the IRS.

Re-Establish the gold standard and kill off the Federal Reserve & their stupid inflation practices.

He also completely follows the constitution, obeys his oath to protect and defend it.

Voted against the Iraq war, and would only go to war as the constitution states "With the vote from congress".

Win not ban gays from marriage because constitutionally the government has no right to.

Basically here is a guy who only has the agenda to obey the constitution as a rule of law. People hate him for it.

He wants to give all the responsibility back to the people instead of people wanting a big handout from uncle sam.

Why do you want the government in your business & abusing Habeus Corpus? It's unreal.

For me - I think of Luara Secord who walked miles and miles to warn the British of overheard invasion plans asking for General Fitzgiven when she got there

She warned of the plans and British forces , forced the surrender of the would be American invaders to Canada

That is what I think of -

What about you?

The recent oil deal between the U.S.-based Hunt Oil Company and the Kurdistan Regional Government raises questions, since Hunt Oil, a privately held oil company based in Texas and its founder, Ray Hunt, have close ties to Vice President Cheney and are large donors to President Bush. The deal also appears to undercut the goal of oil revenue sharing but is predictably consistent with the Administration's attempt to privatize Iraqi oil assets. Both Hunt Oil Company and Kurdistan are strong allies with the Bush Administration.
