I'll be voting for Obama in the primaries if that answers your question... so will all of my friends...
And we are white people living in a Red State in the deep south...

America is always ready for a good President.
So let's stop pretending race & gender of the President is the issue here.
If the Cons ran and lost with Dr. Condoleezza Rice, no one on the left would say:
"I guess America isn't ready for a black or a woman president"
You will only hear this BS if Obama or Clinton are too far left to get elected.

Nope. And these are shining examples of why. Obama, poor experience and Hillbill too much experience. No change.
The field is weak. I agree. A Hill/Obama ticket? Could blow up in their faces. Too much change and they won't agree. Just if Obama rides the 8 for his own run as a puppet. And like trying to rid Americans of their guns, when Republican's run they usually stand as others fall. Wash Post had something on that today.
I don't see it. But what I do see is people not voting and swaying the tides toward the Clinton's. They come as a team.
God forbid. If you don't take responsibility and VOTE in '08 do not b*itch. Like u guys about Bush. How many voted for Gore actually? Like really, do not fool yourselves elections are thrown by no votes. Or vote to odd candidates like Ross Perot. Blame yourselves for Bush if you stayed home election day.
Thanks.
**poll numbers I read have Hill @ 39% will vote for her. Thats one more percent less than the last one I read. Depends on the poll. AND how much of it you read or just heard.

Apparently we are extremely ready for a female President. Sen. Clinton is kicking butt in national polling and just keeps gaining support by the week. I don't think that Obama's weaker numbers are a result of the color of his skin though, but rather the belief that he is just too wet behind the ears to lead our nation. If he were stronger in experience and foreign relations knowledge he would be much higher in the polls, and giving Hillary more of a run for her money.
I think that starting the campaigns so early gave them both an advantage in one area. It gave people more time to get used to the idea of a woman, or a black, as President. The novelty of both is starting to wear off and more people are simply paying attention to their stand on the issues without thinking first "she's a woman" or "he's black."

I think is time for a change... women are moving in a very good direction and its time for american to realise that.. they are the leaders of today, they are the small business owners we have to let them use their idea cause we men are not doing to good, so let them bring new taste to the kitchen.....
A black president will stop 1000''S YEARS of stupid black and white problems we are a nation and toguether we will stop the problem we are facing right now.... A black president will open doors for such goods people like african american, they are american and are part of this great country.. and I am sure that they want the best for all us. This is new era and think are changing. We have country that had elected a woman as a president and they are very very good. This is america... a country a opportunity.

the American people are ready.
personally I'd LOVE for Connie Rice to run. I'd vote for her. she's got Brass, and the intelligence to do the right thing.
now, is the rest of the world ready for America to have a black or woman president? I would have to answer No. but who gives a crap WHAT the rest of the world thinks about OUR national INTERNAL politics?
The Terrorists have already declared they wish to Kill Each and Every Single One Of US that doe not convert to THEIR version of Islam. they have NO respect for Females at ALL. the terrorists think that America is "The Great Satan!" and nothing we do, or do not do (other than submitting to THEIR RULE) will enable us to survive in their eyes.
F the Terrorists. Vote Connie Rice in 2008!
oh, wait... she's not running. DAM IT. ok, how about Uncle Ted Nugent?

America is ready for another President with sound morals and personal conviction. Ready for another president like the current one, except what we really need is a congress that isn't divided and is sincerely ready to get things done and better the U.S.

no longer Condoleezza! relatively with todays attitudes her existence could be endanger if she became elected, which she would be in a position to no longer be. The GOP is going down, and the Dems likly have a winner this next election, maybe Hillary? i'm hoping no longer as hse already ran the country for 8 years

The majority of Americans are. Not all--you only need to look at the "Jena 6" story to see that. But more than enough for Hillery--or Obama--to win. I'm not sure politically having both on the ticket woud be politically feasible, though.
