If a moderate conservative is in favor of civil unions for gays, supports some pro-choice positions, is opposed to the war in Iraq... is he/she really a 'liberal' from a hard right winger's perspective?

I'm a conservative who is moderate when it comes to certain issues. I'm also not a Bush supporter. I have yet to be referred to as a liberal, however, I've been referred to frequently as a Bush lover, and lived through three weeks of cloning while being referred to as a conturd and living in a run down trailer. LOL

We have extremes on both sides.

Any TRUE conservative will tell you that Bush is not one of us.

Judging by what I see on here & in the blogs, yes. In all fairness, the more left wing liberals seem to think us moderates are all conservatives. Go figure? I guess the thinking at both ends is, you are either for us or for the opposition. Gee. Why does that phrase sound familiar?

To a hard right winger, anyone who doesn't think exactly like them is called a liberal. It's really getting boring too and says a whole lot about the low level of their intelligence.

oftentimes liberals are greater supportive of first trimester abortions, whilst moderates and conservatives are against them. Conservatives have self belief that fatherland protection is composed of greater strict immigration regulations and standards, whilst maximum moderates are variety of divided on the subject, and liberals have self belief that fatherland protection is significant, yet do no longer stay to tell the story immigration as lots. Liberals are many times against church-state relationships, moderates are against close church-state relationships, and conservatives are greater supportive of close church-state relationships

There is no such thing as a "hard" right-winger. THat's why they have so much pent up frustration and anger toward women and gays. WHo care what a bunch of inadequate right-wingers think?

Yes, and you hear these radical rightists ranting a lot here on YA. The extreme right dominate political broadcasts in the USA (Coulter, Limbaugh, etc.) with their diatribes against anyone who's slightly less reactionary.

Not really, moderates have been sterotyped.

In my mind, Liberals are as close to socialism as it can get and moderates don't believe in that philosophy.

Socialist Billionaire George Soros is behind a lot of the liberal foundations. Check it out yourself.

Liberal? Not to me. Seems like they'd be very middle of the road people. Know what else is in the middle of the road? That's a dangerous place to stand. You could get hit from either side.
