Al Maliki has been ignored for a long time, thats why his oil is being taken.
This war is a shame and will continue for a long time and when it ends...in 1 year or in 10 years, the Country will fall apart on itself and be worse off than before.

It depends on your definition of democracy. IF its they as a people get to decide what armed forces are present on their territory they you dont have Bush's version.
Bush's version of democracy is:
We brought democracy to your country and we know whats best for you. You are very welcome.

Common practice for the US govt -- so it can be any US elected official.
The US has a history of promoting the right of other countries to choose their own leaders and set their own policies -- as long as they US approves of those leaders and policies.

Unless you have been to Iraq we really do not know what is best, I do hear from alot of military people that now that we are there we need to finish this war this time. I do know that, even if I do not agree that it should have started.
