but then, three days later, abdul-sattar abu risha, leader of the "anbar awakening" (the guy george bush posed with in photo-ops) was assassinated. it became clear than anbar wasn't the bed of roses patreus said it was.

it is now known that the bush administration is actually paying off terrorists in anbar (with our tax dollars) to keep them from attacking us.
is this how a "decider" fights terrorism?
didn't he say he wouldn't negotiate with terrorists?
does this mean bush lied to us?
does this mean general patreus lied to us?
that he betrayed us?

General "betray us" Petraeus also wrote a book on fighting counter insurgency, which contradicts everything that he is doing in Iraq.

I guess to him, sucking up to Bush to keep his job is more important than the U.S. troop lives are.

No war zone is a bed of roses. And Patraeus never claimed it to be one. He said violence had decreased since the surge. Which it has. So much so that President Bush was able to visit the area.

Carter used the same technique to end the violence between Egypt and Israel. The USA pays them billions of dollars each year in aid to each country to stop the hostilities. Not the best approach, maybe, but it has remained effective for thirty years.

Bush said a lot of things after 9/11. But realised that those positions are easily said not so easy to enforce. Without the help of others in this fight we will not succeed. Having those Iraqis help us fight Al Qaeda and continuing to befriend them will help us in the long run. Ignoring them and thereby encouraging future attacks against us is not the way to go.

And please, keep up with the "Betray Us" thing. The overwhelming majority of Americans believe it to be an attack against America's military and the Democratic Presidential Candidates have not condemned it. So keep it going, I want another Republican in office. Thanks for help in making that happen.

waaah waaaah waaaah...what did jack nicholson say....YOU CANT HANDLE THE TRUTH....he never said roaring..he said success and the statement is accurate. it would be nice if you and the moveon organization could stick to what was said but that may be asking too much of the out of control liberal extremists here.

You didn't provide a legitimate source for your obviously false assertion. Your questions therefore make no sense.

Stupid people think that throwing money at any problem will solve it.

It's really sad that these stupid people just happen to be occupying the White House!
