Liberalism has a monopoly on every aspect of popular culture. TV shows, movies, actors, magazines, music, etc.. Everything is so liberal and PC these days, it's sickening. It's no wonder most young adults are liberal, they are fed and brainwashed by this crap from day one of their lives, through popular culture. That's not including all the liberal ideals that are pushed on them in the academic world from liberal teachers and professors.

i know exactly what you mean. i was raised in a republican house went to a christian school [mostly conservative] and have the most right wing friends youcan think of. i have become very acute to all the signs of liberalism. and it annoys me. i am 16 years old and by most standards i should be liberal [im young and live in southern california]. i have liberal friends, and they do not like conservatives, i argue with them most of the time [win usually], its almost like they have become completely oblivious to the fact the the media has been completely taken over by liberals. like here are some examples: the 'green' emmys/oscars, every commercial has a minority/makes the white male look looks stupid, and here is another, good things that conservatives do or bush does is counteracted or not publicized at all; such as the deficite being down over 50%, or capturing or killing an average of 1500 terrorists per month since january, mind you, they have killed, almost 3000 americans, in 6 years. yeah, i know, we are doing great over there. i despise this gradual liberal brainwashing/dumbing down of society that these jerks are doing. listen to AM 640, 890, 720, and some other conservative talk radio shows. also, go to my best friends website. www.alexanderhaberbush.com or try www.deathtotheliberals.com. he is one of the smartest people, possibly in california. litterally, he has an IQ of 182. he is a genius; but remeber most of the website is intended to be funny, although some is not. such as the political party he has created. LEBFRU [www.lebfru.com]. [logic and efficiancy based fundemental realist utopian party. very conservative, and great, he answers questions there. talk to him, he may be your friend. and to your teeacher comment, i have only one thing to say, you are right. i have [had] at least 3 extreme liberal or communist teachers. it really annoys me, because if they are teeachers you think they would be smart enough to realise all the faults in liberalism, and all the common sense ideologies of conservatism.

Extremely.
I am sick of hearing at all hours of the day to such an extent that I just can't get away from it. I mean I cannot just relax without someone just blatantly saying offensive things all the bloody time. Often I can't just go to the front office to get my mail or make copies without hearing some snide comment on the President or the war. When people can just bash others when they are at work in a school ( yes most of the people I work with are liberals ) it just has gone too far. And it's not even like I am being targeted because most of them do not know my political viewpoints, they just figure everyone else shares theirs that they want to talk at work, in the grocery store, in the post office, etc.
Actually my own children's school is more on the conservative side, and I do not watch "popular" ( = stupid ) shows like reality tv or sitcoms. I watch good stuff like SG 1 and 24 that are actually worth watching.

I agree the modern society seems to encourage "moping" too much but lets look a bit closer at "the good old days" In the old days, I man would "take it on the chin" acting tough, numbing his pain with alcohol until he becomes an alcoholic or kills himself. If your son is really writing suicide letters, he needs mental help, not judgemental parents. Perhaps he does need to learn to "take it on the chin" a bit more, but not to the degree you seem to think is right. There is a balance between the cold, insensative macho man of the past and the wimpy crybaby many have become today. His suicide letters are probably cries for help to see if you have any love for him. And if you "kick his ***" he will probably think you don't really love him and he might as will kill himself after all. Show your love for your son. Tell him he needs to do something about his depression by going to a councelor and getting the help he needs. Let him know you have faith that he can learn to find the strength inside him to grow instead of wallowing in his pain. But YOU need to know this will take some time!

I sure as hell am. Yet when something so much as resembles conservative bias, the left screams louder than ever. Just look at FOX news and conservative radio. Political correctness is killing this culture. You can't even say anything anymore without getting sued or having a marching band of protesters led by idiots like Al Sharpton, thus forcing sponsors to pull the plug on something that may have millions of viewers, but a couple thousand voice opposition and the plug is pulled. The free market can't truly exist when you have so much PC censorship. And actors are so worried about their popularity, they either stay quiet or take liberal positions so they don't offend people. Truly sad.

You said it! Its hard for any non left media group to be considered "radical" b/c there is a stangle hold on the media. And in acedemia its even more so. I understand that bad news sells and thats fairly universal but why dont we hear about the good news in politics? If we did we'd hear of all kinds of thing that would certainly alter the way modern america sees things. For instance: what does that fact that the economy is the highest it been in the history of our country do to your opinion of the current administration? The liberal media is all about "lies and scandals" of the republican administratrion but ignores all of the controversy regarding the democratic candidates such as hilary and her money laundering for her campaign! It's not news its selective filtering of information!

Political correctness has a strangehold on American citizens. When there is conservativism expressed the liberals try to belittle them as best as they can, and for the most part they fail miserably.
TV shows and movies are only for entertainment and went a star expresses a liberal ideal they generally end up looking like fools.
As for the teacher and professors, they are the reason that education is sliding down hill as fast as it is. And once the student hits the real world they usually see the truth of things and adjust to conservative thinking.

fascism

SYLLABICATION: fas·cism
PRONUNCIATION: fshzm
NOUN: 1. often Fascism a. A system of government marked by centralization of authority under a dictator, stringent socioeconomic controls, suppression of the opposition through terror and censorship, and typically a policy of belligerent nationalism and racism. b. A political philosophy or movement based on or advocating such a system of government. 2. Oppressive, dictatorial control.
ETYMOLOGY: Italian fascismo, from fascio, group, from Late Latin fascium, from Latin fascis, bundle.
OTHER FORMS: fas·cistic (f-shstk) —ADJECTIVE

WORD HISTORY: It is fitting that the name of an authoritarian political movement like Fascism, founded in 1919 by Benito Mussolini, should come from the name of a symbol of authority. The Italian name of the movement, fascismo, is derived from fascio, “bundle, (political) group,” but also refers to the movement's emblem, the fasces, a bundle of rods bound around a projecting axe-head that was carried before an ancient Roman magistrate by an attendant as a symbol of authority and power. The name of Mussolini's group of revolutionaries was soon used for similar nationalistic movements in other countries that sought to gain power through violence and ruthlessness, such as National Socialism.

Yeah! I hate all this freedom of choice we have to pay attention to what we want.

I wish the state would turn fascist because my remote is broken and when I'm brainwashed, I tend to be a little slow on the channel surfing.

I hope this made just as much sense as the question that was asked.

I would not like to live in an Orwellian society of your choosing, but that would be my choice. You sound as if you have no other option but to endure something you don't like ie, a liberal lifestyle. Get a grip, you have ample opportunity to follow whichever lifestyle you want to live. if you don't approve of Liberalism, don't expose yourself to it. Simple.
