The cultural differences between the west and mid-east are profound. They won't choose sides between "arguing women", but now that there has been massive deaths...there is the propaganda opportunity to show America, Iran is 'really' on our side, while simultaneously being able to show the Islamic extremists that if they wish to reach America (again) they must deal with Iran.
