Is it also acceptable for Christians to beat Italians whenever they see a bon-fire? Nero burnt them right? How long until we drop symbols that are attached to a grudge?

No, it is not acceptable, in fact, it is criminal. There was a lot of stuff that went on in Jena but the Jena 6 were the ones who stepped over the line. They were provoked but that does not excuse their behavior.

No, it is not acceptable, and the Jena 6 incident was not over a noose. The rally is not about them being punished, it is about them being overly punished.

On Dec 1st, one of the black boys charged tried to go to a party where a white man (age 22) beat up on him with a beer bottle. Monday after the party, Justin Barker (white boy) taunted Bailey (black boy) and others about getting beat up; several witnesses say he used racial epithets to provoke Bailey. As Barker left the gym and went into the hallway, one person allegedly ran after him and threw a punch that hit Barker in the back of the head. Barker had a swollen eye, but was able to attend a school event that night. This was a high school fight, remember those? Heck, I got in one, got the daylights kicked out of me (much worse than Barker by the way) and no one got in trouble because things like that happened back in my day.

This was not attempted murder or even ag. assault. The MAN who beat up the black boy got probation with a simple battery charge. The black kids got time in the jail and HUGE bonds (some over $100K).

Should the boys be punished? YES, and they have been.
