How many white college funds are there?
Why is it ok for “progressives” to justify the tyranny of Hugo Chavez by calling the oppressed lily white?
Which day is white history day?
When did you last hear about a heterosexual pride parade?

And don’t try to tell me that any other culture or race has oppressed or suffered more than another:

It is a historical fact that blacks in Africa kept other blacks as their slaves.
It is also a historical fact that blacks sold other blacks into slavery.
Most cultures at one time in their history have used slaves.

Why can’t we just celebrate the accomplishments of good, creative PEOPLE instead of always making it a race issue?

These are question I have asked myself. If you catch a white person celebrating their heritage they are racist, but its ok to have national black history month (we dont even get a day) If I were to throw a parade celebrating my straightness i would be beaten i am sure....

I am sick of all the double standards in this country and most of them come from the left...the tell us that illegals have a right to celebrate their culture, but who cares that I am unable to celebrate mine....makes me want to vomit...I am sick of all this, I can not get a college scholarship b/c i am white, i can not get a job that i am perfectly qualified for b/c the co has been told it needs more minorities....i can not be proud that i am from the south b/c 150yrs ago there were slaves here.....WAKE UP AMERICA! DOUBLE STANDARDS ARE NOT THE WAY TO LIVE YOUR LIFE....ITS HYPOCRITICAL

"How many white college funds are there?"
Anyone is free to start one.

"Which day is white history day?"
There is none. In fact a lot of black people resent 'black history day' and 'black history month'. But you're free to lobby for it if you choose.

"When did you last hear about a heterosexual pride parade?"
I've never heard of one. By I have heard of, St. Patrick's Day parades, Greek Parades, San Gennaro Parades, Puerto Rican Day Parades, West Indian Parades etc etc etc. Some people choose to have parades to celebrate their culture. Again, you're free to have a "white, heterosexual pride parade" with the necesary permits and what not.

"And don’t try to tell me that any other culture or race has oppressed or suffered more than another."
In American history, African Americans have a deepe history of oppression. If you can't see that, you're blind. Slavery was one issue, but there have been thousands of issues since.

"Why can’t we just celebrate the accomplishments of good, creative PEOPLE instead of always making it a race issue?"
Don't you see how all your preceding questions signify that race IS an issue to you? As long as good and bad people feel the need to inject race (which is merely a social construct) into something... there will always be an issue, whether it's right or wrong.

All I'm saying, is if you don't want race to be an issue, then you have to be willing to be one that doesn't inject race into things, even when it's not your pride parade, a college fund targeted at you, or when it's not a day about you. And that goes for everyone.

its always made into a race issue. I am the only white where I work and no matter how hard I work / flexible I am it matters not. I am not treated the same as everyone else there. I wanted to make it into the big city - the big leagues from where I live in a small city. I have to go through this to make it though and am prepared to continue making the sacrifice. I come to work early and most others come late. I will only be here a while longer - it has got me on my feet financially and professionally. I know that now I have handled this I can handle anything in any culture etc..

I do not agree that the culture is basically or intrinsically racist.

I will submit that racism is alive and well among the ignorant. One paradoxical thing about racism is that it does not discriminate.

The saddest part about it is that there are still politicians and media hacks who are willing and eager to use it as a mechanism which won't let racism die the death it deserves.

If the portrayal of us as racists was true, the civil war would still be raging.

Couldn't agree with you more. I'm all for a progressive society but it should be tempered with some pragmatism. Artificial and unrealistic reparations, attempts at trying to "even the playing field" at the cost of equitability, are all impractical and continues to allow the legacy of slavery, racial injustice, and the like to remain the resounding feature of American life.

God said slavery was ok so what are people complaining about .
Thats why anyone who goes to church is delusional .
God posted a list of rules and told you how to live your life and if you do not ,you go to hell ,and people insist on changing what has been said .
Why did stoning sinners go out of style and if jesus said yet he who is without sin cast the first stone . Then he also said turn the other cheek .
To give everything away to a thug . your land house possessions and that the lord would provide .

These people are nuts .

"How many white college funds are there? "

It's called "being a legacy admit." Your grandpa went to school there, your wealthy dad kicks in a donation, and you're in the door. Nice for you.

"Why is it ok for “progressives” to justify the tyranny of Hugo Chavez by calling the oppressed lily white?"

What?

"Which day is white history day?"

Every damn day. Look around.

"When did you last hear about a heterosexual pride parade?"

I see heteros making out in public all the time. It's no big deal.

I even have in no way judged every physique based on the colour or his pores and skin. I even have in no way seen gender or sexual decision a factor on which to decide ones character. yet once I pulled up your question, which regarded interesting, and the 1st answer I see to respond to "who're the authentic racists" is "white human beings," I swear I dislike that stupid lady on her lack of awareness and arrogance. it particularly is with the aid of folk like her that racism exists at present. She is judging each physique by utilising the colour of their pores and skin. a minimum of i'm judging in accordance with intelligence, which she isn't. it particularly is, notwithstanding, tremendously cool that she ought to respond on your question, because of the fact the capacity to style a sentence comes on the wings of having a techniques. Oh wait. She did no longer style an entire sentence. sufficient stated. So, who're the "authentic racists?" slender minded human beings like her. (loose speech for me, too.)

I agree 100%. It's time all Americans were considered AMERICANS. Regardless of race. Regardless of sexual orientation. Regardless of what toppings you like on your pizza.

We need to stop looking at ourselves in terms of what 'group' we belong to. The activists who keep these distictions in the forefront are causing the opposite of what they are supposed to be trying to accomplish. By keeping these 'groups' separate from everyone else they perpetuate the very things they're supposed to be fighting against.

We're all Americans, people. Everything else is trivial.

Some people make their careers off of racism: Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton.
