There's so many factors that come into play that go beyond what a president does on a day-to-day basis. The President may have had influence but it's not like he sits around all day by himself writing laws and policies that automatically become law. The monetary system is influenced by numerous factors such as: supply and demand, domestic and foreign economic factors, and legal and regulatory factors. To use political bias to blame one person or office-holder for the problem is short-sided and foolish.
I'm not saying the President is clean and has no blame - but to suggest he single-handedly caused the problem is rubbish.

It's funny how when his loyal followers find a tiny silver lining , they want Bush to have all the credit, but when it comes to the dark clouds, which out number the silver linings at least 100 to 1, they say that he couldn't possibly be accountable for that all by his little old self.......
He should not be congratulated for it, but he will certainly be remembered for it.
right now his biggest Legacy will read: Clinton saved, Bush borrowed and spent.

Considering how much money you guys borrow, the cost of the war and amount of money fed is printing this comes to no surprise.
And yes Bush is mostly to blame for this, I am happy and will go border shopping this weekend.

If he had that kind of power all on his own, Chi Guy, I would congratulate him, but since, as you know, there are a lot of factors including a democrat congress, I can't give him the credit.
