suthrnlyts: I agree with you. The Republican congress combined with Clinton as pres resulted in a fiscally responsible government. There will be some conservatives posting soon who are going to say that Clinton caused the economy to collapse and blah blah blah, unsubstantiated, of course, because everyone knows that the tech market hit a bubble... Clinton didn't cause that to happen (and neither did Bush).

The reality is that when one party has too much power, they spend too much money. End of story. Finis.

it particularly is purely an fool talking. whilst the worst president the US has ever had comes and says something like this, you comprehend finished properly that he's making an attempt to make himself look harmless. in fact he did this for the time of his presidency, blame all and sundry and every person else for the errors and the take the compliment for the best issues. yet then Bush has basically been crushed through Truman and Nixon to the backside ever approval rankings, Truman's extra via fact of circumstances and Nixon's via fact of Watergate. For a president to get under 50% whilst he had the main important spike positioned up 9/11 is outstanding. He has the main important difference is intense and occasional for a US president. For the final 4 years of his presidency he replaced into basically above 50% and that replaced into on the beginning up of 2005. perchance he's aggravated that a president who has basically been in place of work in the process the worst recession ever via fact the Nineteen Thirties manages to get a improved approval score than he did. perchance he's purely attempting to shape the opinion human beings have of him. perchance he's democrat bating. I propose, Clinton had an approval score of fifty 5.one million% on favourite. How is he the worst president ever? No recession, no important conflict, no important disaster different than mendacity approximately some lady. basically Kennedy and Eisenhower have had larger approval rankings with Johnson up there on an identical fifty 5.one million%. and 3 of the 4 superb positioned up conflict presidents have been DEMOCRATS!!! an excellent form of the recessions have been led to through REPUBLICANS!!! Hmm, flow discern!

Clinton without a doubt. He balanced the budget and created a huge surplus.
Bush squandered everything we had. Now he says he has a great plan to balance the budget by 2012. So, Clinton was able to take care of the economy in his own term. Bush ruined it and needs the next president to clean it up. "Tax cuts work!" he says, what a phony.

PS need I remind you of what happened to the Texas Rangers under Bush. How is he supposed to run a country when he can't handle an MLB franchise?

Neither.

The president does not control the fiscal policy of the USA. When are people going to wake up and realize that the president has limited control over the development of the economy. Most economic gains come due because freed up market capital allows capital investment into new technologies. When those new technologies develop, people reap the benefits and the rising water of said progress raise all boats.

We are not a nation beholden to a patriarch. We are a nation of the people, for the people , and BY THE PEOPLE.

Bush of course. Bush has done tremendous good for the economy in spite of inheriting a recession from clintons failed policies and dealing with 9/11,katrina etc. Every intelligent person who undestands how the economy works knows this.

Although I wouldn't expect you, Chi Guy, to understand this.
