Why do Americans fear the idea of Socialism so much is it because of all those stupid Cold War propaganda films calling the Soviets "commies" and saying they were evil besides the fact that Socialism and Communism are way different the Soviet Union and all the E. European bloc countries never even came close to what one may call a true communist state if you want a country that is closer to that look at Cuba they have free health care for all and free education all the way up to college the reason their economy is pretty much in ruins is because of the embargo the U.S. setup and if you want prime examples of Socialism look at all the Scandinavian countries they have some of the best economies in the world lowest crime rates extremely educated students and very low corruption levels so I just don't understand why Americans seem to have this phobia if you will of all communists and socialists

Does that list above typify the GOP and their Push for Family values? Why is it that groups that spend so much time telling others how to live and be moral are themselves corrupt, sex offenders, or cheat on their wives?

I'm willing to consider your idea . .. Are you willing to consider the consequences ? And I'm not talkin about 'we leave , the terrorists come here' .
Do you realize that if we do decide to pull-out , there will most definitely be severe consequences and drastic possibilities . If/when we leave , undoubtedly we will also be put in a position where we will have to give Iran and everybody else One Stern Ultimatum . We will most likely tell Iran that if they were to make even one move towards Iraq , or continue their support of the insurgents , then we will absolutely crush them . Whatever your beliefs or desires , don't doubt for one minute that we won't . You already know that we're only an inch or two away from hittin em anyway because of their Nuclear Program .

Do you really want us to have our backs against the wall in that situation ?
Many times I wonder if you folks have given full consideration to that distinct likelihood .

So far they have (with some liberal republicans):
1) proposed limiting talk shows, freedom of speach.
2) created all anti-gun legislation, right to bear arms.
3) passed and continue to fight for the "right" to kill your unborn children, right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness
4) vote for liberal judges that are reinveting the constitution
