He could be chosen as someone's Vice-Presidential candidate and then step up to President when that person resigns.

Technically, that wouldn't be unconstitutional...but it will never happen.

As already pointed out, 22nd Amendment establishes two-term limit. Bush would like to see that pesky little law changed though:
http://2004.georgewbush.org/news/termlimits.asp

Two bills (HJRES 11 IH and HJ 25 IH) were introduced in 2003 to repeal the 22nd amendment: http://www.mapcruzin.com/news/bush050703a.htm
Personally, I think those two Republicans and six Democrats (what??) should be severely spanked!!

Not that I'm pro-Chavez, but isn't it interesting that he's criticized by the US for attempting to do the same thing to Venezuela's Constitution? Just something to ponder.

No, read the Constitution. Even King George cannot get this rule bent just for him.

Amendment XXII
Section 1. No person shall be elected to the office of the President more than twice, and no person who has held the office of President, or acted as President, for more than two years of a term to which some other person was elected President shall be elected to the office of the President more than once. But this article shall not apply to any person holding the office of President when this article was proposed by the Congress, and shall not prevent any person who may be holding the office of President, or acting as President, during the term within which this article becomes operative from holding the office of President or acting as President during the remainder of such term.

Unfortunately he can't get reelected. But do remember that he got more votes in 2000 and 2004 than any presidential candidate in history. No other candidate ever came close to the number of votes Bush got.

He can't run, it is against the Constitution. Amendment # 22 limits Presidential terms to 2.

He can only run for two terms. Therefore, he will not win a third.

No, stranger things have not happened. He can't run again according to the law, and thank God for small favors.

If only 28% peolpe support him now, then again he lost the popular vote in 2000 and still won, so I would not vote for him, but then again I would not bet against him

Um, that's against the Constitution -- funnily enough, because FDR did it first.
