The threat from Muslims is over exaggerated and we're all immigrants anyway so that's a non starter, that said we should also invest more heavily in our intelligence gathering abilities to stem home grown threats before they are carried out, we should also be more honest in the reporting of "captured" suspected terrorist like the ones in Chicago, they were nothing more than a motley crew of wanna Be's but the Government treated them as big fish, same with the crowd of idiots in New York another assortment of would be without the skills, financing, or intellectual ability to actually mount an effective attack, if the Government keeps trotting out these the will appear as the boy who cried wolf and when we really need to be alert we may fail as a result

The threat from Muslim "fanatics" is far from over exagerrated, they are a very real threat that is already amongst us,be very vigilant every one. Control in this country will never be ceded to the muslim faith, the British English/Welsh/Scots and Irish will not allow it , remember,we are a United Kingdom,as in past adversities, we stand together so that we may not fall separately!

Wow! I can't believe someone had the guts to finally ask this one. I think the answer is yes. I know it's not the politically correct answer, but it is the honest one. Terrorist are being portrayed as passionate revolutionaries my many in the media. We are expected to learn Spanish to accommodate illegal immigrants. If I moved to Yugoslavia, I would not expect everyone to learn English for my convenience, much less demand they teach it in the public school system. I applaud you for taking the non-politically correct path. I just dread the bleeding-heart, cookie cutter, responses you will receive, all spouting the same, rehearsed, tripe about how we should accept everyone no matter whether they got here illegally or not yada, yada. Please, if you are going to give the "lets all hold hands in the meadow and accept each other" response, at least try to make a valid point.

No. The government and civil service in this country is predominantly white and middle class and that's who runs things.

Since 52 people were killed by Islamic extremists on 7 July 2005, nearly 7000 people have been killed on our roads.

Which is the bigger threat?

Hi there Political Warrior,
In Britain we have a whole set of rules and customs about different parts of our lives. Due to the socially constructed Political Correctness, we attempt not to say or do anything that will cause offence in order to try and be a tolerant and accepting nation.
When we are abroad we try to have some respect for other people’s customs. So we expect those who come here as visitors or residents equally to respect our traditions and way of life. However, the majority of them do not. They flaunt, preach and force their belief systems and traditions whilst continuing to speak in their native language without making any attempts to learn ours. It is not expected that they abandon their customs etc, but it is with respect that we would want them to make an effort to honour our homeland by making an effort to integrate with us. Everyone but the British is ‘protected’ under a mask of Political Correctness. British people are insulted without consequence, and are restricted from practising their religion. Yet we are drowned in a diversity of cultures, religions and beliefs, and some can seem to be offensive and alien to us. British people’s experience of these in their own communities leads them to be suspicious of the un-known, antagonistic; and a few to be racist. Diversity does not work under these conditions. This is why I agreed with a High Court ruling to say no to a young woman’s demands to flout her school’s rules by insisting on wearing a hijab. We need a set of rules to be put into place that will enable Britain to hold on to its identity and traditions. As David Blunkett professed: ‘It is the acceptance of the rules that makes any society function. It holds people together and provides the glue for social cohesion. Anything goes leads to everything going. And what will go is our sense of belonging, our identity and our willingness to whole-heartedly welcome difference and diversity.’
It would seem that the tide of control in this country is moving rapidly in favour of the immigrants. I only hope that the tide starts to turn back in our favour.
I do believe that the threat from Muslims is extremely radical, and the awful thing is we cannot tell to what proportions it will transcend to.

No. There are few (if any) immigrants or Muslims directly influencing government policy.

Yes, this anti-Muslim (as well as anti-immigrant) hysteria is blown way out of proportion. In fact, those who are most affected by radical Islamist violence are other Muslims. It's very much akin to the "black on black crime" that is rampant in America's inner-city neighborhoods.
