It seems that Britain has fallen victim to a string of terrorist attacks and terrorist attempts in the last 2 years. Amazingly though, arrests are made within days and sometimes hours of these attacks & planned attacks. Could it be because of the broader use of wire taps? Cameras on every street corner? More aggressive investigating? So what's the problem with using the same tactics here to prevent terrorst attacks BEFORE they happen? Why is it okay for Britain to employ these tactics and gain praise from the international community, while liberals BLAST our government for the implementation of Patriot Act?

Pelosi lays blame for missed goals on Senate
(06-30) 04:00 PDT Washington -- The problem for House Speaker Nancy Pelosi isn't just President Bush. It's the Senate.

Pelosi sounded more apologetic than celebratory Friday when she announced with her Senate counterpart, Majority Leader Harry Reid of Nevada, the Democrats' list of accomplishments six months after they seized control of Capitol Hill and promised "a new direction" in Washington.

"I'm not happy with Congress, either," Pelosi, of San Francisco, conceded.

The Child Custody Protection Act makes it a federal crime to transport a minor across state lines for the purpose of obtaining an abortion. Is a better choice letting the female do it herself or from an untrustworthy source, like someone with no medical experience or a coat hanger? And if all lives are gifts, why is it okay to "kill" some and not others? (in your opinion).

I got the impression that both Bush and Kerry got up there and said "I can be bought with a price, who is the highest bidder??" - as long as candidates will change on a whim just to please whoever pays them the most our country is in severe trouble. We need men or women to be our leaders that have integrity - that can't be bought.

Is this just my imagination or am I reading Bush/Kerry correctly. ???

The sane, moral person would look at these atrocites and put political beliefs aside to say that it was wrong. But there are Americans who are willing to allow the cover up so as to not hurt the US's reputation. Has these types of Americans reached a new low in morals all for political reasons?

the price of owning a home is also on the rise, and I am sure there are millions of people who are sick or renting. So along with making sure everyone has healthcare, why not ensure that everyone has a home?

In fact, why don't 100% of our tax dollars support every single American rich or poor? does that sound like a good idea or do I sound as delusional and misinformed as some of these libs?

Afterall folks, they are Republicans ... with a real inner sense of getting to the very heart and soul of the crucial issues facing all Americans today.

You see them on here daily and to a large extent, they are receiving a check from the republican underground to divert your focus from what they are really doing to the United States ... attempting to marginalize those with brave, rational thought ... and cater to the fears and prejudices inherent in their base of supporters.

In responding to their inflammatory questions, the best thing to do is NOT respond. But, begin your own series of questions that addresses the true issues ... in an intelligent and articulate way.

Secondly, the Republican underground would love to restrict your informed and intelligent commentary to these buried forums ... it is important to advance your political thoughts to the water coolers at your workplace, your neighbor's fence, and your carpool. We must fight for the minds of every independent.

Nobody wants goverment Health care.........Geez..

Get a clue folks.

In an extensive ABCNEWS/Washington Post poll, Americans by a 2-1 margin, 62-32 percent, prefer a universal health insurance program over the current employer-based system. That support, however, is conditional: It falls to fewer than four in 10 if it means a limited choice of doctors, or waiting lists for non-emergency treatments.

If USA and Israel say that they defend all Jews and that the existence of Israel prevents another Holocaust, why didn´t these countries defend those 2,000 Jews slaugthered in Argentina by a ( US backed , Ford -Reagan, ) military dictatorship. Was it because all that Jews were marxist activists,if that is the reason, well ... it can happen again and again , as Jews will always side to the left.

Does anyone really doubt these terrorist groups would use WMD if they got their hands on it? Instead of three of four planes into buildings, they would love to have a nuke to set off in New York or LA.

Why is it so hard for some people to realize the gravity of this threat? Why are some people inclined to give people like Saddam and Iran the benefit of the doubt? Don't they care about the security of their children?

Are employers exempt from paying healthcare (because healthcare is now a government responsibility)
Does that mean government will get bigger?

What do you think?
