Seeing the mis-governance of some of Africa's leaders, I'm having difficulty determining how a common economy will benefit the continent. What garantee do we have that leaders won't be using the endowments for personal gain as seen in most African states? Bulding inte-continental bridges and common language all sounds very appealing and important, but do we have the capacity to do all these things?

Just think the "terrorist" attacks, even the twin towers in the U.S.A. could have been organised by the U.S. and the car bombs in the U.K. also. Strange how the U.S.A. used their "terrorist" attack to invade, firstly, Afghanistan, then the invasion of Iraq.
Why have the car bombs happened straight after Tony Blair resigned as Prime Minister? Are they to make Gordon Brown look good, as a new leader? The opinion polls in Britain were asking "how Gordon Brown coped with the attacks"? as the new P.M.
I am really starting to wonder if these things are organised by their own officials, to justify their own agendas?
I mean ,"Where is Osama Bin Laden, now.?" Nobody seems to care, now that the Middle East has a war going on.
What do you think?

I'm EXTREMELY happy to read this story from AOL. According to the Associated Press, civilian deaths in Iraq are down over 36% from last month. Apparently, this is because of the increased U.S. troop activity in Iraq. Soldier deaths are up, but the violence against the people and in general seems to be declining.

What do you guys think? Is this the start of a trend, or did the U.S. just get lucky this month?

I'm not trying to stir up trouble in asking this. Maybe I'm misguided and you'll correct my way of thinking.

But enlighten me...please...

My main reason:

Terrorism. It exists. Liberals don't think it's real. Every time something happens (like the attacks in Britain), liberals all say the same thing "oh the timing of that." As if Bush made it all up. And when exactly would the timing have been better??? They've said that for the past 6 years.

Liberals refuse to address how to fight terrorists. They don't want to fight them. Every time a liberal is talking about terrorism, they are talking about Bush and Iraq, or they're being the voice of the terrorists. Saying we shouldn't keep terror suspects in custody. Or the CIA shouldn't be able to listen to the conversations of the people who finance terrorist attacks or sympathize with them. Or how a terrorist should be treated with the utmost respect and kindness when they're holding back information of an attack that is about to kill thousands of people on our soil. Having a democrat President in these times would be too dangerous.

We've been hearing this since the 70's.

The Census Bureau tracks historical household income. It in fact shows the opposite. ALL income levels show increasing real income over time. They provide both a current dollar income (inflation not factored in) table and a constant dollar (inflation factored in) table.

It clearly shows ALL income groups making good gains over time, with ups and downs along the way. It also shows that the rich are getting richer faster, but the poor and middle class are getting richer too. And when there are dips, the rich are losing income just like the poor and middle class.

So why are liberal politicians and people like Lou Dobbs trying to scare us into believing there is a "war on the middle class" or that the middle class is shrinking?

I really like Colin Powell!!

I think when he could no longer support the ideology of the Bush administration he stepped down.

I think Powell has shown the utmost character of a courageous respectable leader.

I hope he would run for President!

If you were president of Iran, and you had the same morals you have right now, would you hand a nuke to a terrorist to nuke America? Please consider the following facts in your decision:

1. The american president has agreed that nuking your country to deprive you of nuclear capability is an option.
2. America helped fund a brutal war on your people be the Iraqis, killing 1 million people in the 1980's, turned a blind eye to the use of biological and chemical weapons. Your country is the second most affected country by biological weapons.
3. America now occupies your two neighbors, who they took control of by force, increasing instability in the region.
4. America is currently detaining hundreds of people illegally, without charging them with anything, for an undetermined amount of time(currently 3-4 years)

In closing I am not a islamic fundementalist. I am a white, university student, living in Canada, with plans to move to America. What would you do as president or Iran?
