First of all you need to look at some of the ones who call him "stupid"...such as Cher, who has an 8th grade education, or John Kerry, who had a grade point average lower than Pres. Bush, or Ted Kennedy, who never graduated college, or many of those who really don't care if he's smart or stupid, they're just upset because "their man" didn't get elected and they have a media who leans left and is willing to print pretty much anything they want to say. Think about it: George W. Bush won the last presidential election by a larger popular percentage than almost any other president in the previous century. Do you really think "all americans" think he's stupid? The same ones who say he's the stupidest person in the world are the same ones who say that he's worse than Hitler, worse than Saddam, Bin Laden, Stalin, etc. They find it easier to just say whatever they want, regardless of how "stupid" their statements really are or how impossible they would be to actually support. So, you're right, those who call him the stupidest man in the world are themselves among the stupidest people in the world...not for electing him, because I can guarantee they didn't vote for him, but because they would rather repeat slogans than use whatever brains they have sitting in their heads. Let history decide if, like Reagan who was burned in effigy while in office, but is now revered as one of the greatest presidents of the 20th century, Bush was a good president, a bad president, an insightful president, or a stupid president, and ignore anyone who puts him down or raises him up today. Politics has stopped being "real" and become a popularity contest where both sides will say what they want to get their candidate in office, and no matter which side loses, they'll say that the current president "didn't really get elected" or "is an idiot" or "has no plan", etc. It's what they do, only the left tends to do it louder and more visciously.

i don't know why they they call him that. But i think Mr Bush is just doing the best for the United States best Interest. I don't think he is stupid at all, he's very smart and patriotic (for American of course)
the first gulf war, i am against the war. not many people know that the reason Mr. Saddam Hussein attack Kuwait is because Kuwait is no 1 OPEC quota violators. (opec is organization of countries that produces oil, to control the price, they set up a quota) 2nd of all, During the war between Iran and Irak, Kuwait is pro Irak and promise to contribute several oil fields, but never really do it.
the last war, i am 100 % pro Mr Bush. eventho i don't like the after taste. but the reason is Mr Saddam Hussein likes to give false statement about bio weapons, really dangerous. really hope He can clean up the mess.
there is other reasons i believe why he does that, judging from historical fact that every nation or tribe... when they become big and wealthy have tendencies to fall because they are so prosperous and don't have veterans any more. Persian was beat up by alexander's tiny army, Julius Caeser with tiny legions of veterans could beat up pompei with his massive legions, china being taken by the tiny mongols etc
so Mr Bush really don't want that to happen to the states.
Now... i can give you more reason, about economy, oil and other aspects point of view but this is enough info isn't it? those who called him stupid... is really the one who is idiot, who can't see the big picture.

Bush won the 2000 election by the thinest of thin margins.

The 2004 election.....well Bush and Co. couldn't stop saying "9/11" for five seconds and when they weren't saying that they were talking about "not changing horses mid-stream" refering to the Iraq war.

It also didn't help that John Kerry was a politically tin-eared, wooden shmuck.

Americans didn't want to believe Bush was such a bozo. But only when it has become so painfully obvious, the masses finally realized their mistake.

As you can plainly see, there are a lot of people saying that
the elections were rigged, these are the same people that
say Bush is stupid. How can such a stupid man manage
to rig two elections. I think that he must be BRILLIANT
for having to be able to do that.

I did learn that Al Gore can not count, even after 18 times,
and all of the fuming he did is responsible for the Global
Warming he claims is real.

I also learned that John Kerry is the biggest loser, testifying
against our troops while our POW's were still being held.

With those two running Bush did not need to rig anything.

Go ahead, call him stupid, he has been the President for
the past 7 years.

Only about half of the voters voted for him. Only about 30% still support him. I never voted for him and couldn't believe he won the election the first time, let alone the second time.

I believe that the implications of protecting 300 million people after 911 threw off our whole body of government. When many of them look back, they would have done things differently. Bush has never said that. He just jumped in with both feet without regard for the quick sand beneath. He is a lame duck now and we are stuck with that for over a year.

I voted against Bush. So no, I am not stupid. Is Bush the dumbest person in the world? Close to it. But you're not much smarter, wording your question like that.

Has it ever occurred to you that political elections might be rigged? Or how about the fact that the majority of Americans don't even vote -- not because we don't care, but because we have given up hope on the ability of our two major political parties to offer a viable, intelligent candidate with the best interests of America and the world at heart.

So don't go blaming an entire nation of people for the actions of one retarded cowboy. I don't blame every German for the holocaust. And I'm not going to hold your ignorance against your entire country, whatever country that may be.

But thanks anyway for the oh-so-insightful, not-at-all-intended-to-cause-a-fight question. Such meaningful discussion it has provoked.

You are listening to a small (but loud) part of America -- those that endlessly bash Bush. The rest of America -- those that support our president -- are basically ignored because it doesn't sell newspapers to support the president.

Bush won both elections, by the way. Those who repeat the tired old line that he stole the election need to re-educate themselves on how American elections work (it's the Electoral College, not the popular vote that decides who will be the next president).

Many Americans support the president, and we think he is pretty darn smart (he's outsmarted the democrats for years!).

The USA is deeply divided.

There are lots of people not happy with either of the two political parties, but not enough of them with same views to get traction with a third party.

It does not matter who is elected, a large portion of the losing side will hate the winner with a passion.

When Clinton was president, it was the exact same phenomena, just different people doing the hating.

The huge number of conspiracy theorists probably does not help either.

Probably because Americans aren't a homogeneous nation of people who agree on the same thing but rather are a complex multi-ethnic, multi-religious, multi-political society of over 300 MILLION PEOPLE with their own ideas and perspectives.

You're simply hearing from more than one American. Makes sense to me.
