Nobody wants goverment Health care.........Geez..

Get a clue folks.

In an extensive ABCNEWS/Washington Post poll, Americans by a 2-1 margin, 62-32 percent, prefer a universal health insurance program over the current employer-based system. That support, however, is conditional: It falls to fewer than four in 10 if it means a limited choice of doctors, or waiting lists for non-emergency treatments.

Usama.

That is exactly what your poll states
or can't you read.

How funny it is that you do not know what your own poll sais.

You should really get a clue. Medicare works fine. Ask your Mom and Dad. When you grow up you will understand better.
It is a bear face lie that they have long lines in Canada, they also do not ever wait for Emergency treatment. That is a scare tactic used by Republicans without base in fact.
There are 46 million Americans with no basic health Insurance, half are women and children. Why do Republicans hate women and children so much? I would like to see the 46 million buy into Medicare at a reasonable cost. Then get basic health care.
This is Competition. You like Competition right? Now have some more cool aid..

Something to do with a speech given by their favorite president of old (JFK): "Ask not what you can do for your country, but what your country can do for you!" (grinning sarcasm)
They look at how well off people as a whole are and then see the few who are not doing so well and ask "Why?". Is this not one of the wealthiest nations on earth? Do we not have the highest standard of living?
Then, they begin to think (I use the term loosely) that by just paying a few more cents on the dollar in taxes, everyone can have basic healthcare! Trouble is, they're not very realistic. Nor are they willing to accept that we are not born equal and that still, we have choices in life and with those choices comes a certain amount of responsibility and accountability. They fail to realize that this country is based on the economic principle of capitalism. We already have a "universal education system" and they cry that it's not working equally across the board. But somehow, a "universal healthcare plan" will.
Sociologists (and I suspect a lot of minorities) would have us believe that only those with white, male privilege succeed here. Oh? I didn't get my first pair of shoes until I entered school. I didn't see my first dentist until I was 15. I didn't EARN my degrees until I was 43. I had to pay for everything myself, no loans and no grants. I didn't have affirmative action working in my favor. And when I graduated, I couldn't get a job. I took the last of my savings and started my own business. I work minimumally 12 hours a day , six days a week for what I've EARNED. And I'll be damned if I'm going to freely give a portion to those who didn't work as hard or plan as well!
And then there's the fat, bald guy with the falic, terd stuck in his mouth yucking it up calling people liers because they don't believe as he does. Do you think we should have to pay so that he can continue to live in a fantasy world, eat to the point excess and smoke his cancer causing stoggies? I say, only if the government is allowed to then dictate his every breath. But then, he'd complain about a loss of freedom...

Maybe because we never had National Health Care coverage. Most workers had Health Insurance through their job or should have had (benefits).
I have seen many National Health Care in Europe and you get what you paid for. Just hope it's nothing more than common cold, the doctors are not very good and many pay extra to see a private physician if they are not satisfied by the National Health Care physician.

Free free free...everyone has their hand stuck out.

Whatever happened to working for a living?

I've had government health insurance (military doctors) and public health care services. I'll pick public over government plans anyday.

The fact of the matter is that the quality of services will dramatically decline if the government attempts to control it.

I have a PPO and it is great. It saves me so much money since my wife is ashmatic. You get what you pay for.

If you want something for free, then it is going to be subpar. Do you really want something like healthcare to be subpar?

I think I would question any "proof" you post.

What do I have to support my claim?

On a question I posted you responded with remarks that included comments about I hated soldiers and Christians. What was odd is that you make that remark on a question I made that was supportive of those in the military and used a copy/paste of a question I asked about rude comments of an individuals willingness to kill anyone who didnt believe in God. You must have not read any of the reponses to THAT question because they were all posotive to the question I asked.

Its easy to formulate an opinion based in half truths and selective reasoning. Try obtainng all the information prior to making claims, it'll help your point of view...even bias ones.

What we need is for the doctors to go out into the waiting rooms once in awhile and thin out the hypochondriacs and tell them to go home, so the rest of the people, who really need help, can get some service. They should also run ads telling people to toughen up and quit being hypochondriacs. This will dramatically lower the cost of health care.

they don't..if you read fat-boy's polling page..they weren't
talking about Universal healthcare..

Universal Healthcare means the guy sleeping on the sewer grate gets the same care as the Office Administrator in a Senate Office...you know that isn't going to happen..
no matter what bill they force the rest of us to pay for..

How can we trust polls if most of us--respondents included-- don't understand what's going on here? Easy answers aren't answers--they just worsen current problems, make new problems, and let others make money at the expense of our well-being. Has anyone seen "Sicko"? Our lack of study (follow the big money) and participation coupled with a desire for easy answers have gotten us here.
