Um... I suppose the fact that Islam is the world's fastest growing religion at 20% is a made up fact to "mobilize the masses."

I suppose that the fact that radical Islam can be found at the center of almost every conflict is made up.

I suppose the peaceful "insurgents" are only fighting us because we are there creating "terrorists."

I think that the growing religion is worth watching. I think that the terrorists need to be stopped, and it would be great to see Islam contain its own crazies, like Christianity does here. And I think the insurgents should lay down arms and help rebuild their nation so we can leave.

Of course. One good technique to help in establishing a fascist political system is to define an 'enemy', against which 'we must unite'. Having people constantly thinking about the 'evil muslims' keeps them from thinking about the evils of their own government.

No one who is mobilizing the masses in an attempt to create a pure Islamic state hasn't considered one small fact that relates societies to swordmaking. A sword that is made of only one material in a rigid lattice is very easy to break; a society comprised of only one set of people with one ideal is similarly easy to break. Swords that incorporate foreign elements and metals that are beaten regularly are stronger; societies that are comprised of many different elements are stronger.

Rigidity and homogeneity lead to easier destruction.

I don't think that Islam is such a threat as most people make it out to be.

In fact, over 90% of them are loving, peaceful, and just want to live in harmony.

The problem, as typical with US media, we only report, we only concentrate on the other 10% extremists. No wonder the Islams are getting a "bad rap". I personally know too many of them to think any different.
