or

They are currently refusing to release documents that have been subpoenaed in connection with the US Attorneys scandal (the one where they fired them for political reasons but said they fired them for performance reasons). When the Patriot Act was passed, and people expressed concerns about the government lsitening to their calls and reading their mail and e-mails; weren't Republicans the ones saying "If you have nothing to hide, you shouldn't be worried?"

"I heard my father, mother and conservative pundits talk about the soviet union... and not only that we didn't like them, but WHY we didn't like them...
they said that the soviets didn't hold trials for their people... and that was wrong... and that the American way was to hold open, fair trials for everyone..." - Liberal rant

People who say things like that above think that we should treat non-citizens who attack our country the same as citizens. The rights of terrorists are their top priority. Protecting the country is secondary.

Listening to the news you would think it was Hamas that overthrew a legal Fatah Government in Gaza. Hamas is the legal elected government of all of Palestine.
Fatah, financed by the CIA and backed by Israeli Artillery and Airstrikes tried to overthrow the legal government.

Warning America we were at an increased risk? I watched fox news for 1.5 hours today, and almost an hour was spent on the increased risk of a terror attack. In fact they were the ONLY cable news program to show the color coded terror alert level in the scroll at the bottom of the screen. And they did once every 2 minutes. Even as a conservative, i have never been a big fan of Fox, but does this go to show they get thier ratings from Americans that are so scared of arabs they will allow our government to do anything to make them feel safer? Did anyone else think this was exessive?

We're politically more divided than ever. I don't see any possible way of reasoning with Fascist neocons myself. Trying to talk to them is useless, because online they use threats and name calling, and in real life they resort to physical violence.

Will America need to go through a civil war to destroy such elements? They are beyond the reach of reason.

I can see how a liberal would think that by not allowing a woman to choose whether or not to give birth to their child, you are somehow taking a right to CHOOSE from her. But didn't she have the right to CHOOSE whether or not to have sex and with whom she would have sex with? Do liberals think that women are too dumb or too weak minded to make that kind of decision? Isn't their stance the more degrading to women?

"If HIV/AIDS were the leading cause of death of white women between the ages of 25 and 34, there would be an outraged outcry in this country," Clinton said in the biggest applause line of the night, bringing audience members to their feet.

What she should have said was that if black women between the ages of 18-34 would stop participating in risk behavior that leads to HIV/AIDS, there wouldn't be as big a problem with it killing young black people, both male and female.

It's amazing to me that Democrats don't look to actually solve a situation by establishing personal responsibility of the affected peoples, and try to change the critical behaviors that lead to these issues. Instead they look to through government money and controls at the problem, to be the big babysitter, which has been proven to do nothing in resolving the underlying issue.

What do you think?
