of course they are. they have to give the big business's their money's worth. big business wants cheap immigrant labor so they "funded" congressional and senatorial figures to try and push the bill thru. its all about money.

Realize that the People in Power will Stop at nothing until this Bill is Passed....They will keep putting it Up for Voting until it is Passed...
.......We are only Delaying the Inevitable.....
What must be done is that we need to become more Educated and to get more People to be aware of this Issue, as well as it Ramifications... More Questions must be asked on this Site, as well as more Links like the one you gave...We need to stop giving one word answers like "yes" or "no". How can WE become Educated and Aware with these short Answers?
The Good News is that alot of People on Yahoo Q & A are Speaking Up....We have approx 20,792 Questions on Immigration in our "Search For Questions" box...We need to go in these Archives and Search for the Info that will help us, just like a Librarian searches for a Book...
The Future of America is at Stake.....Once you give up your Rights and Freedoms, you will NEVER get them back....History Says So....

We need to forget about color and religion. Our country is in trouble. Americans come in all shapes colors and sizes, but.......we are Americans. This is what should bond us together against the world. Do you really think any other country gives a damn what happens to America? Heck, they are praying for our death. Lets focus on Americans, of all colors.
Listen........this is America and our country should put Americans first in everything. Immigrants should not have any rights here at all, lets take care of our fellow Americans first. America is NOT the lifeboat for the rest of the world. We dont owe anyone a damn thing except to our veterans.
Other countries dont even allow immigration........there is no real reason we need immigrants anymore. Let the people from other countries build up their own country, dont run away and try to hide in America. America was built at a price of blood.......most immigrants today are cowards in their own country, thats why they try to hide here. Americans are willing to die for our country, but the immigrants obviously would rather let someone else do their fighting and sacrifice for them.
There are PLENTY of Americans ready to work for a decent wage. We dont need immigrants. The H1B visa program is a scam by big business, dont believe for a second they cant find any qualified Americans to take a job.
Its time we took back our country and maybe even changed the form of government we have. We are no longer represented fairly, the representation is for the wealthy and special interests.
The Americans in our country come in all colors and religions. There is no race involved. What IS involved is simple......this is OUR country and we dont want anymore damn immigrants........got it?
People, we built this country and many of us shed blood for our country, we deserve to have a home, secure from foreign invaders. An illegal immigrant is a foreign invader.
America is in a death spiral. We cant carry the weight of every crybaby immigrant that wants into our great country.
We need to put a MORATORIUM on all immigration, until every single American is taken care of first.
AMERICANS FIRST........then..maybe...a few immigrants here and there.
We Americans May be closer than we think..........to that special time...........time to lock and load

I don't think so, is not on the democrats or republicans best interest to revive it, the elections are coming soon and they don't want to take a chance. So bad!! I was on favor of a reform to get a lot of illegal immigrants a chance to get out of the shadows and work legally.

Martinez got elected because of immigration...you cant scare him off like the others...You have to understand that Florida has a huge Cuban and Hispanic group.
Florida could not grow like it has if it wasnt for illegals. So many developments are being built that developers hire them left and right.

Yeah, I saw that. Personally, I think it would be a political buzz saw and he won't convince them to take it on this year. However, we should keep our eye on it. Certainly the bill that died would draw the same reaction it just did.
Personally, I think few Senators read it, or they wouldn't be so confused why people objected.

I hope to god that this one fails too like the other one. I fail to see how rewarding people for breaking OUR laws is going to make our country better. Personally, I think it SHOULD be a felony to rent or sell to an illegal. All people are doing is enabling the behavior.

Mel was groomed by Bush to run for the Senate just so that he could champion this amnesty. He is just preaching to the choir.

I like what Martinez said - what alternative are the naysayers proposing? Just tearing it down isn't a solution. It's only getting worse as we do nothing.
