No. I have never needed a gun. No one I know has ever needed a gun.
My only contact with guns was to search for and take the gun away from my Alzheimer addled mother who kept being given one by her gun-nut relatives.

What is this Europe you speak of? Switzerland has plenty of guns and a low crime rate to boot.

England banned guns and guess what, shootings have gone down! In other news, stabbings and knife-crimes are up. Huh, Who would have figured.

The police state
Criminals
Terrorism

In that order. A gun may help against the second. Hurt against the first. Non-factor in the third.

Absolutely. Most European countries have been neutered because of their excessive PC culture. America is the best. We need our guns. If they are taken away we will surely parish from the face of the earth. NRA is here to help protect our way of live. It is not for sale, it is not bad, it is what make us all Americans and not citizens of some back water dictatorship.

Given the choice between Europe and America I'd pick Europe but I"d rather just stay in Canada

No, doesn't make a difference.

Actually, thinking about it, I'm a LOT less likely to be shot or mugged at gunpoint in Europe for that very same reason, so I can't say that I'm glad.

If you love guns so much, trying moving to Newark NJ or Philadelphia PA, there are a lot of guns in both places. Oh, but don't plan on a long life, both cities have terrible murder rates.
