Need you ask? Roosevelt was a celebrated president even though many disagreed with him. and Although he was a Republican, he was a progressive who believed in preserving the environment for Americans for generations to come by making sure that our national forests were off limits to logging and private contracting interests. We may still have no standards of quality for the food that we eat if it weren't for him and requiring government inspections of meat and other foods by the FDA. To bad the cons today are reversing all of these standards that we used to have.

I'm not gonna waste time bashing Bush. Teddy is so much more interesting.
Teddy battled from ill health to robust fitness. He overcame the loss of his first wife and his mother (on the same day)by investing a portion of his inherited fortune in a ranch where he bred cattle, and was , in essence, a cowboy. He was an avid hunter (using a sport-adapted 1903 Springfield rifle, the primary rifle of the US until WWII and actively used as a sniper rifle thru the Vietnam War) and an ardent conservationist.
He brokered peace between Russia and China in 1905 for which he won the Nobel Peace prize in 1906.
He took the initiative in forming the International court of arbitration in the Hague.
He ensure the completion of the Panama Canal.
Teddy was a published and prolific author, with 26 books, over 1000 magazine articles and thousands of speeches and letters to his credit.
Teddy Roosevelt was a great president.
I don't see George living up to that standard.

Hmmm lets see.... the trust busting, charismatic, larger than life T. Roosevelt who made sure our food is actually ok to eat and not just rotten meat stuck in cans or the fool who invades an insignificant nation and occupies it for years without benefit. Oh and also who completely lacks any kind of domestic policy that has improved the lives of Americans. Theodore Roosevelt sure was not perfect by any means, but compared to G.W. Bush, he's gold.

More Better?
George W Bush has been the least effective President since the Civil War.
Iraq is a small country which he has been unable to bring under control

T.R. without question! An anti-American coward like Bush wouldn't be fit to shine Roosevelt's shoes.

You're kidding, right?
Teddy Roosevelt was a good president.
If Bush isn't the worst, it's not from lack of trying.

Teddy already has gone down as one of the greats.
Only time will tell if Bush does too, but even if he does, Teddy will still be greater.
(just my opinion)
