This came up in a college class on why Conservatives are always attacking scientists when it does not sync with Republican politics and money.

The libs that teach your class rely on marxist economic graduates, that they taught, for there science opinion. Unfortunately real scientists opinions don't agree with the socialist agendas of your professors ...

Not at all. Many scientists are conservative, in fact the majority of those with advanced degress in engineering & the physical sciences that I have known have been conservative.

yes it really is an oxymoron. I have to admit that conservatives don't have the open mind that is required to be a scientist. I don't want anyone to think that this means conservatives lack intellect, because it's quite the opposite. they are just reserved in their thinking and that makes for a bad scientist who must experiment and test things that are imagined or theorized.

Conservatives DO NOT attack scientists. Disputing statements that are NOT supported by evidence is not an attack on scientists. Demanding evidence before accepting ANY statement is the essence of science.

Being a conservative scientist I can tell you that most scientists are conservative, it's not science when you feel about everything like liberals do.

Nope - it's just the non scientific uneducated conservative types who attack science. Conservative scientists though rare, do exist.
