The 5:1 ratio that I see posted here all the time is also a load of crap. When I served it wasn't true, when my Dad served it wasn't true and it's not true now. A very large portion of our military is made up of working poor and minorities and if you think they are all Conservative you're fooling yourself. Most military members don't have strong political views to begin with and they certainly aren't going to answer any questions about their politics accurately while their commanding officers are within earshot.

Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger told a gathering of Hispanic journalists that immigrants should avoid Spanish-language media if they want to learn English quickly.

**DO they WANT to learn English since everything is now in Spanish too?

What you thought to be true all your life turned out to be wrong. If one day, somebody showed you that what you have believed and were passionate about was not right? Have you ever had such an eye opening experience?

So the DoD today said they will be billions short in treating returning troops from Iraq and Afghanistan -- mostly for trauma and traumatic brain injury.

Does this illustrate that the administration grossly underestimated the war in Iraq; gravely miscalculated the needs of our troops; or something else?

I see new polls being talked about everyday on the different news channels like Bush approval ratings and '08 candidates... not once have I been asked any of those questions. They therefore do not reflect my approval OR disapproval of anything.

The real American and the terrorist each have guns, but no ammunition or drinking water. The liberal has no guns but plenty of armor, ammo and drinking water. What happens next?

Its seems funny that most of the "BIG" questions on Yahoo Answers get asked by actors and liberal politicians. I guess conservatives like myself just aren't smart enough to ask the really BIG questions.

According to an interview I heard, the root of the problem can be found in the bureaucracy of the hospital staff and 911 operators. They have all been indoctrinated on policies handed down to them by supervisors that were drawn up by bureaucrats. The emergency room staff and 911 operators do not have the freedom to exercise their judgment without risking dismissal from their jobs.
Is this a glimpse of what we can expect from government healthcare?

He has recently all but called General Peter Pace all but incompetent in public! This gutless coward of a man with NO military experience, CONSISTENTLY says things to undermine the morale of our troops and all you liberals say it's okay. I don't understand that.

I think Paris should have hired Marion Barry's lawyer...then again, if his charge went to trial in DC, the probability of at least one crack-head on the jury would be enough to let jim skate out on a DUI...
