According to an interview I heard, the root of the problem can be found in the bureaucracy of the hospital staff and 911 operators. They have all been indoctrinated on policies handed down to them by supervisors that were drawn up by bureaucrats. The emergency room staff and 911 operators do not have the freedom to exercise their judgment without risking dismissal from their jobs.
Is this a glimpse of what we can expect from government healthcare?

It is a glimpse at our overloaded social systems. This is due to the flood of Illegals abusing Americas compassion.

No its an example of having to make sure a patient can pay, or an example of hospitals getting shafted by insurance companies and not having enough staff. Its an example of to days patchwork system of payment. This week it was decided that home health care workers wouldn't qualify for overtime, or minimum wage, making it harder for people to go to their homes even though they might do better and it would be cheaper than keeping them at a hospital. Forcing even more over crowding. Knowing you couldn't get minimum wage, knowing you couldn't get overtime, would you take that job, would you want your mother looked after by someone who would?
The only thing this is an example of is the state of heath care today, since we don't have socialized health care or government healthcare we can hardly blame this on that.

I don't think so. I think her death was due to anger and indifference by the residents of a state who have seen hospitals close due to uncompensated care to illegal immigrants and who are angered by the influx of illegal immigrants. That does not make human indifference right and it is not an excuse but I believe it played a huge role in what happened to that unfortunate woman.
