Messier, actually. I'm surprised we're not looking at much higher casualties.

The invasion was an astoundly successful display of how awesome and advanced our military is. We took control of Iraq extremely quick with minimal casualties.

I believe you are referring to the occupation being messy. Our intelligence was bad on this part, we didn't realize the tribal structures of Iraq, how p'od the shi'a would be, and the effect of nearby nations such as Iran. I was young when we invaded, so I never really did any research on it, but looking back on it now I think that more intellligence was necessary to realize that it would indeed be messy. Also the "war on the homefront" so to speak, the administration and hillary truly thought they had wmd's so I don't think the waning support on the homefront for the war could have been anticipated.

This messy??? The Pentagon ordered 20,000 body bags before the invasion. We've only lost ~3,500. We've had the lowest rate of casualties of any war in our history. 95% of the country is violence free and doing great.

This is what people get for watching too much T.V.

The president said it would be a long hard road. What we didn't anticipate were Liberals forgetting we have an enemy and selling out their country to terrorists.

I never thought it would be easy. I still thought (& still think) it was necessary. Just because something is difficult does not mean it shouldn't be done.
