If he was a gutless coward of a man, would he be bucking the President? No. If he was a coward, he would just go along with the what the President wants.
And, what real military experience does the President have? You don't want to listen to John Kerry or John Murtha who have real combat experience. So, how is military experience even relevant to you?
I don't understand why you go along with the leaders who have no combat experience: Bush, Cheney, Gonzales, Wolfowitz, etc. Don't throw stones about military experience when your guys have as little or less than the dissenters.

Like many, your logic is flawed.
Did you watch what he said?
He blasted Pace as being incompetent and mismanaging in Iraq. It is the truth. Pace and others generals and those in the administration have mismanaged the whole thing from the "git go".
Nothing can undermine the morale of our troops except being involved in a civil war, not knowing who your enemy is because you can't identify him, not knowing what the goal of the war IS and how he fits into it, not knowing if there is an end somewhere or just days and months of the same old, same old.
He is the Majority leader and has every right to voice opinions about it, to reveal facts and to inform.

George Bush and Dick Cheney are also sadly lacking in military experience, yet you don't diss them. Bush's greatest military accomplishment was learning to fly a jet plane to protect West Texas from Viet Cong invasion.
Cheney sought and obtained five military service deferments because he had 'other priorities'.
That being said, disagreement with our war and policies in Iraq is NOT undermining the troops. The troops are acting at the behest of the current Commander in Chief. It's far from unpatriotic to disagree with the policies of the Commander in Chief.

Rather strange that some people's idea of supporting the troops is extending their voluntary tour of duty in a place where they are not defending our freedoms rather they are being sacrificed for an impossible mission. Iraq will never become a democracy supporting itself no matter how many troops we send and no matter how long we keep them their. Face it, our President is making a huge mistake and it is going to take people with balls to stand up to him after four years of this fiasco without having to be answerable to anyone for his actions.

Reid is just another in a long line of Democratic public embarrassments. First came Dean with his YEEAAAHHH in Iowa and then Kerry directly insulting the military.
Nothing new at all, and certainly not surprising.
