Im not a republican in the sense I have never registered. I vote for both parties but im a conservative.
Bush I voted for, I liked his early actions on tax cuts, estate tax cuts, no child left behind, ... then he dropped a school voucher program... he quit pursuing solidifying tax cuts further as they will sunset soon. The war I liked early on but it has stagnated.
Up to that point I was still a supported although I did not agree with a few policies and didnt like the way Iraq was headed as we shoudl have had it wrapped up and could have. still a supporter though.

Its the Immigration bill that has killed it for me. Despite every Republican senator being against it ( except McCain who was too much of a wuss to vote even though it was his issue )
he is still pushing for it..... how out of touch can you get.

Bush isn't quite a waste of space. If he wasn't taking up that space in the white house, Gore might be there, instead.

I've heard about 1/3 have stopped supporting him.

his approval rating is low..so i guess that shows some taste for republicans :)
