(1) George W. Bush, Jr - He didn't read the PDB file entitled "Usama bin Laden Determined to Strike the US" and his disastrous stewardship of affairs has led us in the Iraq Quagmire

(2) Herbert Hoover - Relied on Melon when Depression occurred

(3) Ronald Reagan - Ignored social welfare; spend more than we had in his Star Wars Intiative and was a horrible president in dealing with the Soviets (Its a shame that historians would fortuitously place him as a model of perfection - they didn't tear down a wall just because a guy from Hollywood told them to) His other credentials include ignoring the plight of AIDS, the Iran-Contra affair and lying to the public

Andrew Jackson-Mass Extermination and forced removal of American Indians. Jackson also attempted to allow southerners own slaves again.

Franklin Pierce- Dumb guy in a job too big for his shoes...signed the Kansas-Missouri Act which repealed the Missouri Compromise, led to the expansion of slavery in the western US territories and eventually paved the way for the civil war. If not for him and the confidence he gave southerners, historians speculate slavery might have died out on its own as the west took over the south in big agriculture.

Ulysses S Grant-Supported amnesty for retired confederate soldiers and generals. He struck a deal with Rutherford B Hayes (who was in the most closley contested presidential election with Samuel Tilden) which awarded Hayes the presidency and in return Hayes pulled support for reconstruction in the south. Before this time, many African-Americans made it to the nation's senate and governships. When Hayes and Grant pulled the plug, it ended reconstruction and ushered in the shameful Jim Crow, seperate but equal, era (1876-1965) of this nation's history.

The worst by far is George W. Bush for obvious reasons.
He is followed by James Buchanan who did little to stop the Civil war. He wanted to appease both sides at the same time.
Next would be Warren G. Harding. He had booz in the White House during prohibition. Had the Teapot Dome scandal, did little to help WWI veterans.

Hoover, Bush II, and subjectively Reagan. There may have been a worse president than Reagan in the 18th or 19th centuries, but I'm not up on my 19th century Presidents. For sure Hoover and Bush II, though Hoover didn't kill anyone. When it comes to needless killing, Bush II and LBJ take the cake. But LBJ also signed the Civil Rights Act of 1964, arguably the most important and influential piece of legislation in the country's history. Outside of killing, Bush II just collects baseball cards...

3. Lyndon Baines Johnson: Because he was so effective, negatively. His "War on Poverty" consumed huge reserves of the Federal Budget and was a complete failure. His establishment of Medicare and Medicade and other aid programs STILL have our country reeling economically. He ****** up Vietnam with his plan of gradual escalation. He should have committed our entire military, overwhelmed the Vietnamese, and then finished the war quickly.

2. Jimmy Carter: Because he was completely ineffective when he needed to be effective. He is the reason Social Security is screwed up today. He opened up SS benefits to illegal aliens over the age of 65 who never made payments into the system. This has, with the onslaught of illegals, completely overburdened Social Security. He gave away the Panama Canal. Interest rates and inflation skyrocketed during his term. Oil. $$$$$. Enough said.

3. William Henry Harrison: He's only number three because he died a few months after he was inaugurated.

George Bush, Jr. - Nobody has made the world as dangerous as he has. In the face of one of the worst growing threats to our nation, he's done just about everything wrong.

Ronald Reagan - He armed and trained all the people who are trying to kill us Americans now.
And, he sold drugs to buy them weapons. It's actually a tough call between him and Dubya.

No 3rd. Those 2 are far and away the worst. Nobody else is even close.
