No, an important aspect of US policy in Iraq is the development of a "free market".This already failed in Latin America and is the reason for the existence of Goverments as those of Chavez, Morales, etc.This policy is a guarantee for more crisis.

Depends on what you mean by "Switzerland."

If you are referring to the fact that Switzerland is actually a loose confederacy and not a federal republic, after a bloody civil war, it is very possible. The warring factions (if they are not absorbed by a neighboring country with similar ethnic ties) may decide that the only way for "Iraq" to exist is by having a loose confederation of their provinces.

If you are referring to a Switzerland with happy, skiing people who make cups of hot chocolate and are friendly to everyone -most certainly not.

I highly doubt it. I sure hope we can stabilize the country somehow. But that is proving extremely difficult.
