My controll board has contracted with the Seneca Nation to take some prime down town realestate, and create a "Gaming Establishment" to share revenues with said controll board.
The Senecas have admitted that they expect only locals to attend. This ain't Vegas. The controll board swears that it will improve the economy, and that crime won't go up. but doesn't the house always win? Granted, the Senecas are the only group to drop a dime on our little ghost town, and an influx of crappy casino jobs is better then all these credit-collection jobs witch count for 1/3rd of the employers. Is this a bad deal? Without an elected government, how can we have a say?

When I travel, I tell people I am from Buffalo. No one knows where it is. So, I have to tell them it is in New York. Then they automaticly think New York City, 380 miles away. In reallity, there is little in common between these cities.
WNY taxes go to Albany, and from there, go to benifit NYC. Our economy has been in the toilet for over 30 years (Remember the economic prosperity of the 90's? We never had it!) Our citys' have had a negative growth rate for decades, and our bills to Albany have increased. I pay $8,500 a year in property tax on my 650sf. My home is only worth $35,000. We cannot vote out our leaders, we have state appointed "controll boards" in place in all major local and county governments.

The only way to get our own voice in our government is to either Succede, or hold a coup.

No taxation without representation! except WNY.

What do you think?

The DNC spends millions and millions of $ reelecting their politicians to office every year with the promise of eliminating hunger and homlessness. If all that money went straight to charity would the hunger problem be a thing of the past?

Democrats want to rule your wallet, tell you what to do with your money (give it to the feds and they will dole it out as they see fit through social programs) And Republicans want to legistate morality and taking away of liberties( gay marriage, religion, abortion, defining who is american and who isn't and who gets rights and who doesn't).
Which do you prefer and how will you vote next election.

I'm speaking personally here. How does G.W.B personally and specifically profit from the war in Iraq and high oil prices? I constantly hear phrases like "it's for the oil," "he and his oil buddies" "Bush profits from high oil prices" but, come one, spewing out some catch phrase does not make it so.

Will (can) someone please give me the specific and proven way George Bush personally profits from war and oil?

Every time somebody brings up an issue about the Bush administration being corrupt or having something to do with 9/11 all you people who try to flood the world with democracy and understainding tell me to either put up or shut up. That's being distinctly fashist, I'm simply expressing my opinion which is based on fact whereas you're defense is based on heresay and what the gov't says, accepting it without a shread of real evidence you decide to call me unpatriotic.

Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to greater danger. It works the same in any country."
-Hermann Goering (1893 - 1946)
Commander-in-Chief of the Luftwaffe, President of the Reichstag, Prime Minister of Prussia and Hitler's designated successor
The second in command of the Third Reich.
