People are not born racist, nor is it something that is taught.
Racism is manifested by culture clashes. For instance, if you met someone whos culture was to molest little boys and that was pefectly alright in the society they lived in, you would probley "hate" that person because it clashes with your culture that it is violating that kids rights and it goes against everything you believe in.
When some people for instance see people that refuse to work, and think they are owed something simply beause they were born a certain color or of some guilt of the past that might clash with my culture of you must earn what you have.

Hillary Clinton tried to make a joke the other day when she was speaking to some Indian-Americans. She said that Ghandi used to work in a gas station in St. Louis or something. That's a manifestation of racism.

Through our eyes.
Every race or culture has it's own style, behavior, values, traditions, etc. Yes, even behavior.
We see these things that are different from our own, we connect with it through sight. When we see things that are different, of course we're going view that as strange, or odd. Unless we were all blind, there is no way to avoid it.
So then we have two choices, we either accept it or we don't. Plus, we can be honest about it or we can live in denial and give the outwardly appearance of being perfect. Which of course we all know can't be.

A news program had some white kids vandalize a car, then had some black kids vandalize the same car in the same location in a suburban area. Only one person called the police on some white kids, but many people called the cops on the black kids. The point is, black people who act a fool are more frowned upon than white people who act a fool in the exact same manner.

Let's assume that all Liberals/Democrats on this site are blue. Let's assume that all Conservatives/Republicans on this site are red.
See how they treat each other?
That's racism.

Well, observe 100 people and place them in proximity to various races, and you'll get 100 variations of how people react to people of various races. There is no set manner, or method, since people are individuals, raised in different methods, religions, ethics, understanding, education, and on and on and on....

Fear, ignorance, and isolation. If you don't know a lot of people who aren't like you, and you have been told since an early age to be afraid of them, then it will be hard to overcome that.
