I wanna know what it is, how it is bad for the country and how it is good for the country.

On these forums, I constantly notice that whenever liberals are mentioned/ridiculed, a Democrat is always brought up, like Clinton, Kerry, or Dean. However, just because someone is liberal does not mean that they support the Democratic Party, or any party in particular.

I am personally liberal, but I quite dislike the Democrats. I think both of the parties in our system are corrupt, and both are contributing to the problems in this country, for various reasons.

So, what's the deal? Is everyone just making wild assumptions, or do they not know that liberal is different from Democrat? I really don't appreciate being lumped in with that party.

Purported cures include:
Re-education by specially-trained Homeland Smiletime Operatives.
Reaching the age of 24 or more, but not always. Sometimes the disease can take such a hold that it lasts into their 40's or even until death.
Getting a job and paying taxes; in particular, repetetive manual work can often dull the Liberal's critical thinking faculties, making them more compliant.
Getting mugged.
Continuous therapy through exposure to Faux News.
The GOP, transmitted directly into the brain via radio waves.
Tax reform, carried out by the Ayn Rand Center for Social Harmony.
Nervous breakdown, assisted by Federal officers.
New medical procedures which can remove their heads from their asses
Detoxification may help to remove traces of neophilia-inducing psychoactives, including AUM and PARABOL.

The only certain cure is a 30-ought-6 rifle slug through the cerebral cortex. This cause the liberal to stop thinking (if they were in the first place, which is doubtfull

it seems as though Americans hate France so much because they claim the French are arrogant and snooty and didn't want to fight the terrorists or whatever. And I was asking some people some things and they had nothing bad to say about France and how they hated it. I mean France did help us win our independence, and a lot of people say we paid them back plenty in WWII. But it annoys me that people hate France for the sake of hating it, and we used to accuse the French of hating us just for the sake of hatine us (the U.S.).

Why is it that so many people think that they need the federal government to protect us from everything? We need a minimum wage (because we are too stupid to demand a fair wage for a fair day's work) we need the government to tell us where to send our kids to school. We need the government to tell us what to eat. Is there anything that we are to be held responsible for?

Did George Bush have you blinded with all of his talk about stopping the terrorists, when he was planning to go into Iraq? In the name of catching the terrorists, he started war in a country that had nothing immediate to do with 9/11...what ever did happen to the quest for Ossama Bin Laden? He is the bad guy remember.......

What will China demand of us to repay this debt.

Should we let them Take Tiawan in exchange for all the cheap consumer junk they sold us.

Who wouldn't feel comfortable with that guy in charge. Should he run in his good guy yellow garb, or in his black NWO-era threads?

How is the US, which has spent three years proving that it cannot successfully occupy Iraq, a small country of only 25 million people, going to control India, China, Russia, Europe, Africa and South America?

It's not going to happen.

What it does mean is that the US government in its hubris and delusion is going to continue starting wars and attacking other countries until a coalition of greater forces smashes us. Even among our European allies we are already perceived as the greatest threat to world peace and stability.

C'mon... she so bat**** crazy that she has to be a liberal secret weapon. Think about it, people hear her and think, "THIS is conservativism? Maybe I should think about this some more."

The only people who totally agree with her are the crazy fringe nut jobs. I mean really, no one is that out of whack without having a serious personality disorder :D

As a follow up to my question on reparations

http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=Aom8tO8e8dgxQTjwdr52BA_sy6IX?qid=20060710133111AApUma8

I am curious about how the amount of any reparations would be determined. It looks like in an overwhelming amount people are against them but I want to get deeper into the opinions of people that are FOR them. How would we actually calculate them? It's easy to just say "yeah they deserve them". It's completely another to actually think through the process of awarding them. I think when you look at it that way it seems very impractical to even consider.

Because of you and the media blaming our soldiers and government for everything these things happen. You want examples? You strongly are against racial profiling, you are strongly against helping countries overseas, you are strongly against pre emptive strikes, you believe in this imaginary world where we a look the same, talk the same, and act the same. If you do not support our troops and our country than you are against it. Now here is your plane ticket to Afghanistan.
