Yes, and to get at the truth lets hook up all participants in a political debate to lie detectors.

One, none of them would be able to say a thing in advertisements.
Two, you can't prove they're actually lying. When they say they won't raise taxes, then get elected and do, they just say they were telling the truth at the time and the circumstances changed.
Government is all now about song and dance. That's it. No leadership, no solutions.
