B, except that those aren't the ones you hear from. The ones all out yelling the loudest are the extreme ones and sadly, they are usually the ones that get heard.

c

by definition, everybody can't be left (or right)

if they were, the middle would move to the middle of where everybody actually is

if MOST conservatives were far right and most Liberal were middle of the road, then MOST people would be right of the middle, and that is impossible because the middle is in the middle

It is possible to have a bi-modal distribution where the middle is fairly unpopulated compared to the ends, but that is still a balance.

Most likely is a normal distribution with the largest frequency in the middle and lessening out toward either extreme.

A, but I don't know exactly about the degree of 'farness' in either direction. I've generally viewed them as equally on one side from the middle with Moderates in between.

B

Most people are middle of the road. We all have our own belief's that that aren't "clear-cut" left or right.

These are all catch phrases that are put into our everyday life to create stereotyping. People are people and if you agree with someone 100% on everything one of you is not thinking.
