China gets blamed for being the greatest poluter but they have twice the population of Europe and 4 times that of America. the real issue is how much polution per person, That is like blaming small countries for controlling the UN when that could be changed to votes per population of the country. But they dont want that because it would mean asia controlling the un ,when it is far easier to bribe small countries with a few crumbs

I did a search and saw tons of questions/answers about Michael Moore's movie Sicko. In many cases, people just attack Michael Moore himself or his previous movies. They don't analyze the facts in Sicko. Some say the movie is classified as entertainment. Who cares how it is classified by some institutions or individuals, which are most likely biased? If they have seen inaccuracies in the movie, what are these inaccuracies? Let's focus on the facts that Sicko mentions or fails to mention! Some say that in Canada, France, etc. taxpayers must pay the bill for health care, as if the movie did not consider this fact! It did and nevertheless concluded that they had a much better health care system. It is almost as if people answered the questions without having seen the movie!

This is a challenge to those who might know some inaccuracies or omissions in the movie. I want to read critics on the accuracy of the movie, but for god's sake, analyze the facts and make sure you've seen the movie.

This is a first! As a left-leaning, life-long Democrat, I doubt that anyone has ever heard me utter a positive word about Bush. He has no qualities that I admire. However, I'm hoping the nasty test went well and that the news from the lab is positive. There....I did it!

Bush in their speeches? I'm seeing quite a few articles saying they are now trying to separate their GOP affiliation from Bush and they are even worried about Bush's war & policies blowing their chances for re-election.

"In May, Republicans were dismissing even tough questions about the escalation. Now, they're falling all over themselves to distance themselves from the president."

If the Republicans think Bush is so great & his war
is so grand...why aren't they clinging to his shirt tails
begging Bush to speak for them in their hometown rallies?

Here's the situation in almost every nation that has universal healthcare... the people pay taxes, and they go to private physicians/doctors. Those physicians/doctors get reimbursed for their services. The tax is public, but the industry is still private....just a matter of eliminating the middle man (aka insurance).

So if you're for that, why not for private vouchers? They operate nearly in the same manner. There still is public funds and private industry reimbursing. Both systems can both be designed progressively (as they're attempting in Utah)...but it seems it's getting opposition.

And for what?....Because it mirrors the universal healthcare formats throughout most of the world? You tell me, I'm not sure why there's so much opposition when similiar people on the left support universal healthcare.

ps...I prefer tax deductible healthcare and schooling more than universal or school vouchers...FYI

... as to why they or a family member can't serve in the military and fight the war they support so much.

(And before anyone asks, yes, I did serve in the military.)

Let's go over some of my favorites;

My war supporting skills are needed here at home.

I already bought a yellow ribbon magnet for my fridge and yellow ribbon bumper sticker for my car. How much more can one man do?

I already sent some chapstick to the troops.

I'm fighting the culture war.

I'm thinking about it. Really.

I'll join if there's another 9/11 type attack.

I'd join if the president came up to me and asked me.

My stepfather's brother-in-law's third cousin twice removed is already serving.

There's already enough people serving(cough, stop loss, cough).

I support my school sports team. Does that mean I should join them? (Because war and sports have so much in common.)

The new Governor of Florida made his first trip abroad to Israel. Israel has a ridiculously low import quota of goods and services from Florida, but exports huge quantities to Florida. Why this discrepancy? Is this just the usual sycophant gesture to a segment of the population? The same can be seen with other, Federal and State official from the USA. Is this exclusive support of Israel justifiable with respect to the world interests of the US?

France, London, and Canada? Even thought the last two have a better education level, the three of them have a way better health care system, the economy in there is more balanced (By these I mean less millionaires and less poor).

This country is the wealthiest country, however, it does not mean that there is a better and easier way of living. Here there is more monopoly in the health care system, which I consider it to be in America a health care business. They say here that the drugs price are justified because they spend a lot of money in research, nevertheless, in Cuba a medication that cost 5 cents costs 125 dollars in USA.

My question is, Why do many Americans criticize those countries? If there Economical system is more balanced.

Why is a White House spokesman telling us what Justice Department policy is? From the NYTimes : A White House spokesman, Tony Fratto, said Congressional threats to have presidential aides charged with criminal contempt would probably end in failure. “It has been the Justice Department’s long-held view that the law does not permit Congress to require a U.S. attorney to convene a grand jury or otherwise pursue a prosecution” when someone refuses on the basis of executive privilege to testify or turn over documents, Mr. Fratto said.

when the senate held a recent all-night session with regards to the Iraq war, it was reported that the president planned to veto their decision to begin pulling troops out of Iraq by April 2008. I was initially led to believe that the president's decision was made only upon hearing about the session, but I later recalled that he had in fact stated previously that he would veto anything that involved a specific date for withdrawal. But not only did the decision to begin removing troops fall short of the 60 votes needed to pass in the senate, but the president would veto it anyway even if it did pass. Now I may be wrong, but I always thought congress/senate had the power to override any decision made by the president provided they had the necessary support (in this case the 60 votes needed by the senate) to prevent an autocracy on the part of the president. So how could Bush have vetoed the decision anyway even if it had passed in the senate? He alone would not have the power to. Would he

I just answered a question on illegal immigration in which I mentioned overpopulation. I am curious what some of your thoughts are in this subject. I truly believe that it is a huge problem in this country. Yes it is great that we are healthier and living longer because of modern medicine, but cities are getting so congested and suburban sprawl is ruining our beautiful land. If the population continues to rise so rapidly we will continue to lose our forests and there will be no nature left! What should be done about this? Also, what are your thoughts on limiting the amount of children that Americans can have?

What if some of the theories are true and we are being stripped of freedoms so slowly that we don't care. What if in the future our ignorance of world affairs takes us down a path that creates a NWO. This NWO controls you and your family.

What could Americans do?

Remember they have already made many Americans disappear. Any American that gets too loud and people start to believe disappears. Journalist, Generals, Judges and many others have either been retired, killed or simply disappear after standing up for what they believe is right.

So imagine for one moment that this is occuring, what would you do to get your freedoms back?

If Bush talks like he favors a certain canidate do not vote for that person. Bush wants to set the next president up so he can still be in control. Bush is a dictator. At least Hitler was honest. He wore an arm band.
