New Labour have shown that they are all spin.Brown is spinning in his own way. No matter what they say.New Labour is positively dangerous, not so much in what it is doing to this country, but in the way it is allowing the EU to increasingly regulate what democracy we have left.
The reason Labour is losing it touch with the voters is because the only people discriminated against by this government, are the indigenous English population, who are increasingly ignored, marginalised and treated with utter contempt. New Labour party transformed Britain into an open prison. Virtually no area of life is free from the party’s prying eyes and super-nannyism. Prior to the party’s victory in the General Election in 1997 you could walk through your local town or city without worrying about being filmed by the authorities. You could pop into a local pub for a relaxing drink and a smoke, pubs having long been considered a haven from the pressures of everyday life. No longer. Britain has more than 20 per cent of the world’s CCTV cameras, which, considering that our tiny island occupies just 0.2 per cent of the world’s inhabitable landmass, is a quite remarkable achievement.About time they went!...

Sadly, Tony Blair spent so much time in bed with Bush and helping them fight their wars he forget about domestic affairs and the people that voted him in. He did some good work but law and order is virtually non existent. We have a country that literally does not not know how many illegal immigrants we have - what other country operates like that? We have a justice system that allows murderers to serve a sentence of literally months in some cases. We have paedophiles so say under supervision but free to walk the streets and re-offend - it's a joke. Because of our lack of security we are now constantly under threat of people trying to blow us up - as you say, we can only hold these mass murderers for 28 days when it takes a lot longer than that to search computer records etc - we are the world's laughing stock. Things won't change with Brown - they guy looks knackered already. Let's face it, he has just been given a couple of token years by Blair to ensure he looked like he kept to their original agreement.

new labour - well meaning but....?
definately...but!
If they don't have something near concrete in 28 days then how likely will they have evidence after 2 months. Maybe the answer would be a type of probational period while under investigation with daily checking into a police station to make sure you havent skipped town. I'd rather drop in once a day to prove i'm where i say i am, than to be held against my will. mistakes happen, it would be policing friendly, it wouldnt mess up people's lives and would free up jail space.

Yea but what are you gonna do? there is no mainstream party that stands for what i believe in so its just picking the best of a bad bunch.Slate em if you like but if the tories get in we are all screwed. And by the way i actually admire Tony blair for the war against terror - the guy showed hes got balls. besides the money used for the war would have gone to illegal immigrants anyway, so actually cutting off the supply of illegitimate asylum seekers at its source is a good idea no? lol

New Labour is definately not well meaning. It is just a lot of self-servers who at least border on being corrupt. They are all looking for the main chance to get their snouts in the trough. They care nothing for the working class or pensioners. They simply suck up to the wealthy.

Running the country is like steering an oil tanker. They have been trying to navigate us out of the crypto-fascist waters that we were steered into by the Cons, it takes along time to turn around and all the brew seem to have gone mistly eyed over Captain Bligh and Major Major.
