So many ignorant respondents to my other questions on this topic are oblivious to history of wars the U.S. won. They overlook the fact that expressing support for the enemy--as so many Rosie O'Donnell and Bill Maher and Jon Stewart and Charlie Sheen and Nancy Pelosi and Cindy Sheehan and Cynthia McKinney types do--is NOT legally protected 'free speech" under the Bill of Rights in the U.S. Constitution.

To the contrary, it is illegal sediton, sabotage, enemy propaganda and TREASON against one own country under the U.S. Constitution, and punishable by prison, fines, and even up to death.

When Lincoln was faced with traitors among our own citizenry, he hung or shot them by firing squad. That's how we used to win wars--we gave the enemy no quarter in our own hearts and minds.

Ever notice how we started to experience humiliating defeats a la Vietnam and other conflicts (that shall remain unnamed) since we as a society began tolerating treasonous dissent as if it were free speech?

Just trying to get a feel on how America feels about this one...

The Patriot Act should be an issue in the 2008 Presidential race.

in true history persian soldier were very huge and real Versant in combat , but in this comic movie the crazy director shows that 300 Of spartans killed them like Gnat , isn't a joke??? and shows that the great persian imperator look likes an african ???!!! but each aware and wise person konws that the persians are the original aryan on the world and the cradle and symbol of the civilization with the Good-looking and beautiful surface ,if you know alittle about the persepolis and same Persian Buildings around the world can perceive fact and splendour, grandeur of persian empire around the world. For example for the first time in the world history “Dariush I” (Xerxes’s Grandfather) instructed lawyers to wrote the civil rules and equality for the people in around the world.
many times I travel to Iran but non of that things i saw in Western Channels weren't in this beautiful country , Iranians were very nice and kind with me.
Why they should pretend the bad surface for Iranians!?

I feel they are spending too much time bickering with the President and trying to further their own agendas and not doing anything to find solutions to issues that are affecting the American people on a daily basis such as fuel prices, the economy, taxes, and illegal immigration. I'd just like to see what others have to say.

He is setting precedent here that 29% is acceptable, because the congress refuses to impeach. What if every president from now on has only 29% approval - do you think we will have very much say in what our government does?

Maybe the government did some kind of study to see how much he could get away with without really getting in trouble, and they stick with that so that they can get what they want done. Maybe Rush Limbaugh and other bush apologists are on government payroll? Think outside the box.

What would you try to change in our country?
What laws would you try to pass or get ride of?
What would you do about the war and about the U.S. being in debt?

It seems like there have always been wacky libs... and I say that being a liberal.

And a few wacky conservatives. But it seems like there are more and more of them now days, and their ideas are more openly accepted in the conservative world.

I mean "liberal media" seems to almost be as good as fact for conservatives now, when most used to watch only "liberal media" in the past. I mean Reagan and Nixon got elected with a "liberal media," with basically no other media?

but, moving on... it just seems like so many seem to believe that "liberals are evil" and "liberals will destroy America"... and these attitudes seem to be much more accepted than they used to be...

used to it seemed that conservatives may be that "grumpy grandpa" that talks about hard work and common sense... but they didn't want to kill all liberals? They realized the value of free speech and freedom of expression and that we're all Americans...

not so much anymore... or is it just me?

The following ommissions are irrefutable:

1. The omission of evidence that at least six of the alleged hijackers---including Waleed al-Shehri, said by the Commission probably to have stabbed a flight attendant on Flight 11 before it crashed into the North Tower of the WTC---are still alive (19-20).

3. The obfuscation of the evidence that Hani Hanjour was too poor a pilot to have flown an airliner into the Pentagon (21-22).

7. The omission of the fact that, given the hypothesis that the collapses were caused by fire, the South Tower, which was struck later than the North Tower and also had smaller fires, should not have collapsed first (26).

8. The omission of the fact that WTC 7 (which was not hit by an airplane and which had only small, localized fires) also collapsed---an occurrence that FEMA admitted it could not explain (26).

We're all so accepting that people who we consider our enemies are always lying. Yet our own president lies. So why is it that we we accept Bush lies even when we KNOW he is lying? Is it because Bush is the good liar? the better liar?
or the best liar?

Why aren't more people calling for separating marriage and the state? Most states currently only allow a male and a female to wed. Why don't we separate states from our private relationships. This way people can marry who and/or what they want. There's a huge stink right now about gay marriage. Why are they appealing to authority where there is none? What right does the state have to declare what their relationships are? This recent gay marriage movement ignores and alienates plural marriage, communal marriage and marriage to non humans.

I say remove any marriage laws, thus allowing anyone to marry anyone or anything they want, and call that marriage/union/relationship, whatever they want.
