Liberals appear "kooky" because conservatives like yourself are too unintelligent to see that Liberals have a very valid point on the issues.
So out of this mental inability (or unwillingness) to understand, coupled with general laziness & unsophistication, you end up labelling liberals kooky, crazy, loony, or whatever.
Unfortunately to the detriment of the entire world, conservatives such as yourself never bother to consider that perhaps it is YOU who are "kooky." If we were to do a global survey, conservatives such as yourself would be in an extremely small minority when it comes to the main policy issues of:
1) Iraq, Iran (conservatives pro-war, world against)
2) Global Warming (conservatives disbelieve, world believes)
3) Universal Health Care (conservatives against, Western world pro)
To the world, it's probably conservatives like you who are extremely "kooky" for stalling global progress & peace.
I truly hope you can give me an intelligent reply. But maybe I'm just too "kooky" to expect one.

I don't know if I would call the majority "kooky"... maybe just a little misguided. Liberals fail to learn from history - or even look to past mistakes to learn what not to do.
It isn't that difficult to see how the liberal/socialist policies of Western Europe, the former USSR, etc. have damaged their economies.
For so many liberals, it is ideology over data and rational discourse. The constant pitting of high-income earners and those that, in general, haven't given enough forethought to the skills they need to compete in an open economy is one of the saddest examples of liberals pushing their mantra of "bridging the income gap" or "protecting America's less fortunate."

Liberals are kooky because they drank the kool-aid.
The worst ones have no ability to express original thought, but rather repeat the party line and propogandist mantra. When faced with the offer to intelligent debate, they dissolve into shrill shreeking drama queens.

Some people are suseptible to brain washing. There are always liberals out and about, spreading their socialist ideas.
