I want real answers not crap about how you may not like it. I want to know how your life would be sooo horrible if a gay couple were to get married. We have 1,000's of years of history of men being gay or having sex with eachother, the Greeks and Romans for example, recognized gay marraiges.

If I were a liberal democrat running for office, then Alec Baldwin would be the LAST man in the world I'd want with me on stage! So my question to you liberal democrats out there is......when are you going to tell Alec "The Madman" Baldwin to stay home the next time he offers to host a fundraiser for you? Is THIS the type of guy you want as Hollywood's face for the liberal party???? http://www.tmz.com/2007/04/19/alec-baldwins-threatening-message-to-daughter/

I have never been to this category before. Please No Insults.
I know Politics is heated. I am sincerely asking. And I don't mean to take anything away from what happened at Va. Tech. Just at George Bush's speech (it's on right now) and attendance there.

Criminals are, by definition, violators of the law. What sense does it make to think that a criminal would follow the law and not obtain a weapon and use it for criminal purposes? I usually hate cliches, but this one works: "If you outlaw guns, then only the outlaws will have guns."

Speaking of those in prison that has committed a violent act upon another (not in self-defense). Why are we as tax payers paying for them to have tv, three good meals a day (they eat better then some that obey the law) and a free education. I as a tax payer think they should get bread and water, sit in a little cell to rot and maybe on Christmas if they have been good they can have a good meal, just to remind them. If our prisons were a bit tougher to tolerate people may think twice, a lot of them think prison isn't so bad, free lodging, food, and education. So its not picnic in prison, but they sure do get a lot of perks for harming someone don't they? What do you think, should those that commit, rape, murder, against anyone especially a child have rights?

He is legally retarded, but has no legal guardian as the courts have ruled he is competent, although the psychologists say his IQ is about 65.

I want to be sure he has the rights of gun ownership that the NRA wants for us all. He has had some violent, and unpredictable behavior in the past, but nothing that led to a felony offense which would prohibit him from owning a gun.

My question: does it sound right that a person like that is granted the right to buy a gun?

(this is a hypothetical question and is in no way meant to be defamatory to anyone of any intelligence level - except to NRA morons who can't see there's a problem in America with gun violence)

Every day, 10 men go out for beer and the bill for all 10 comes to $100. If they paid their bill the way we pay our taxes, it would go something like this:

The first four men (the poorest) would pay nothing. The fifth would pay $1. The sixth would pay $3. The seventh would pay $7. The eighth would pay $12. The ninth would pay $18. The 10th man (the richest) would pay $59. So, that's what they decided to do.
The 10 men drank in the bar every day and seemed quite happy with the arrangement, until one day, the owner threw them a curve. "Since you are all such good customers," he said, "I'm going to reduce the cost of your daily beer by $20." Drinks for the 10 now cost just $80. So, the bar owner suggested that it would be fair to reduce each man's bill by roughly the same amount, and he proceeded to work out the amounts each should pay. And so:
The fifth man, like the first four, now paid nothing (100% savings). The sixth now paid $2 instead of $3 (33%).

How sad is it, in this day of political enlightenment that lawmakers from Vermont and several other Democrats from other states have never read the consititution.

The so called "charges" that they have come up with are not Constitutional reasons for impeachment.

Isn't it about time the Democrats eith crap or get off the pot. Bring real charges or STFU.

What do you say.... please.... discuss.
