rico - choking on all that spittle seems to be addling your brain. I have no opinion on Bush and VT. I think that in a concealed carry state it is very sad university rules kept LAWFUL students from being armed for their defense. I am conservative. I also believe in the constitution and for once agree with the Vermont Senate.

I was totally thinking we shouldn't impeach Bush until the Vermont Senate called for it.

I think that 21 people in Vermont voted 16-9 to do something they have no authority to do.

It's kinda like the time I asked a real estate agent to lower the price of a house to ten dollars. I really wanted it to happen, but I had no authority to make it happen nor was there any reasonable logic behind my request.

isn't Vermont in Canada? no? Can that's prepared? fairly cowardice of a STATE assembly placed some teeth to it, tell the VT delegation 'introduce this contained in the Federal domicile - or VT will impeach YOU!' no backbone?

I'm holding out for the girl scout leaders call for impeachment, then I can take this serious....... A state Senate means NOTHING....... Another NON-Binder from the Libs!!!
By the way, when is the Vermont Senate going to do something other than grandstand, you know like some legislation that keeps their pedophiles behind bars and not in their neighborhoods... guess that's not as important...

Even if all the state governments and governors, and every city council, county board of commissioners, every mayor etc voted to impeach Bush and Cheney, it would mean NOTHING!

These people have no say in the operation of the federal government. Only the House of Representatives may draw up articles of impeachment.

Until that actually happens, all these other levels of government calling for impeachment is nothing more than a stupid and futile gesture, signifying nothing.

Why does anybody think this means anything?

Mad TV on a statewide scale is what Vermont is. They are funny. Vermont is kind of like the national equivalent of the insane relative you keep chained up in the attic so they wont hurt anybody.
Why dont they call for the impeachment of Chester Arthur or Rutherford B Hayes while they are at it? It's easier to impeach dead presidents since they dont fight back.
Always wondered what happened to Bozo the Clown after he retired. Looks like he got a new job as the Vermont Senate.
All you people who want to move to Vermont might as well move to Iran if you want so much to live in a looney bin.

There's a solid case, but too few votes for a conviction. This is a very impeachable president. His entire administration has been a dismal failure and an abuse of the American populous.
Anyone who still defends these guys has simply got too much pride invested up to this point to admit what a debacle Bush's entire reign has been. Really, they are doing the same thing as the administration itself - creating their own reality to accommodate their political situation.

I agree with what they are doing. The fact stands that if the elected officials at the national level are too much of p*ss*es to actually do it, then do it at the state level! If enough states do this then it becomes NATIONAL which would mean that Bush and Chaney are booted out. It is a way to ensure that the Constitution succeeds in the best interest of the Nation as a whole. Not done very often, but when your elected officials at the national level don't listen to you, what else CAN you do?

they call for it because they are ignorant. Thats the worst thing you could do right now. Whats going on is that America is seeing what the rest of the World thinks and thus is pressuring our citizens to go against Bush. Vermont is only something that has conformed past Massachussetts which is kindof... Bad? I guess you could say. And Bush is doing a good job given the circumstances he was dealt. If you to ignorant to see that, i wouldnt feel comfortable in a battle of the wits with you, mainly because it would be like hunting a fly with a bazooka...

So I disagree with what they are doing, trying to get the peoples support for a bogus call so that they can get some stupid law passed in the very near future. Watch it people, its just a supportive step to get you to agree with their next law that will take more of your freedoms away.

Vermont is not the only state, Wisconsin and Washington are calling for impeachment of Bush and Cheney too...
At least they are smart enough to know we need to be rid of BOTH of them.

And Holbrook;; it's very obvious you have never been to Vermont....what you say is crap....lol.. too cold? hmmm, what about the states surrounding it? they stay warm and Vermont gets cold? Get a life...
