I haven't read the ruling yet.
I always seem to read these kind of posts at lunchtime.

You've obviously been overwhelmed by the wrong information. Do some research. Late Term Abortions, as the Repubs like to call them, are 2 tenths of 1% (that's .017%) of all abortions. And are almost 100% performed only because of health concerns of the woman. These are not elective procedures. these are not any form of birth control at all. The ban that was upheld by the supreme court DID NOT give any option for the physician to perform this procedure if the womans life was at risk.

I am sick of anti-choice activists who think that liberals enjoy, relish, or otherwise approve of abortion. It is a horrible choice to have to make, but what the conservatives fail to understand is that if we remove the legal option to give abortions, then it will continue to be done illegaly and very unsafely.
Doctors were imprisoned in the 40s and 50s for discussing birth control because it was thought it would encourage sex. No one needs to encourage sex-that happens instinctively.
I am made ill by the idea of abortion, but I refuse to live in a country where the law forbids it and women who cannot afford to be pregnant are required to seek out illegal doctors who are not regulated and could potentially kill them.
Go read the Cider House Rules (don't watch the movie) and ask yourself if it's better to abort a late -term pregnancy or allow the mother to die in childbirth due to inevitable complications.

No woman would elect to do a partial birth abortion. It was only done in dire circumstances when the child was extremely deformed with an encephlatic head (very large) that would harm the mother to deliver it and would render her impossible to have future children.
It was used by the republican leadership as a political issue designed to inflame and divide the country.

A baby is'nt a baby, til the day it's born. There should be as many abortion clinics as there are Starbucks, or 7-Elevens.

Sex without consequences is what it's all about!!! It's not completely about a woman's right to choose - I think Planned Parenthood and other 'pro-choice' agencies enjoy killing babies! They even promote it on their web site. Go check it out and you'll see what I mean.

Any reasonable person would agree that this practice is not the best.
The fact remains that abortions will continue and they should be available and safe.
