Hillary Rodham Clinton wrote in the Yale Law Review in 1979:

"Children should have a right to be permitted to decide their own future if they are competent." "Decisions about motherhood and abortion, schooling, cosmetic surgery, treatment of venereal disease, or employment, and others where the decision or lack of one will significantly affect the child's future should not be made unilaterally by parents."

So-am I (as a parent) only the caregiver of my child and that her liberal/socialist government trumps my parenting rights?

"Recovering" alcholics typically turn back to the bottle in times of extreme stress, and with the War in Iraq, North Korea, a ballooning deficit and historical low approval ratings that are likely to loose his party both houses of Congress ... and then that pesky Dick Cheney calling all the shots ...

You think he's back to drinking? It would explain his slurred speech and inability to concentrate.

I have noticed all my life over 50 years that majority rule or will of the people is all to often ruled against by local, state & federal legislation. Generally the few ruling class stand to profit from these laws. Which suggest to me that the tables of rule & control need to be switched if you or I & our families are ever going to live the American dream.

I have been following the story of Pat Tillman the ex-NFL player who was killed by friendly fire in Iraq, They just had a peice about him on Sportscenter and his fellow soldiers said that they were told by the Govt to keep thier mouths shut about it,even though they knew that he wasn't killed by the terrorist and it was friendly fire that killed him. Why couldn't the Govt just tell the truth in the first place..I mean 3 investigations later and we find out they lied to us yet again. I know that propaganda probably played a huge role in it but doesn't it make things alot worse when we find out that it was just a huge coverup? What does everyone else think about this?

I feel suprise because there are a lot of questions and answers about Vietnam, my country. But I feel sad because I recorgnized that most of them are about Vietnam War.
Even I don't agree with most of your points about the war, I do see that most of you against war and for peace, that concrete my belief of life and humanity.
But my question is why Vietnam War is still a topic for the public, students, and of course veterans in the US theseday? I'm not sure that how much the American talk about it ? and why? because i recorgnize here in yahoo answers, there are pretty much question about Vietnam but sadly most of them are about war.
or is it because the Iraq war is now ongoing so make people refer to Vietnam war in the past?
It surprises me because we don't talk about it much nowadays. and the young vietnamese consider that topic at school is such a boring topic (i hope it is the same feeling in American youth) and almost nothing in public beside ceremonies by gov.
