how much people who are actully frm america actully know that america is the largest producer of pollution, coz most of the americans i know have no idea about it.

im not pointing the blame im just saying that ameria is one of the most if not most polluting country, and no one i know whos from amrica is awre of it and goes on about helping others when they dont help themselves.

Well America has probably the largest industry in the world.
America buys more cars than anyone else.
If you think about it...it's a no brainer.

Since America consumes 25% of the fossil fuels produced yearly, don't you think it is apparent that they would be aware of this? But other countries are major participants too as they continue to use mercury to leach gold, and several rivers in South America are badly polluted. Tokyo Bay is so contaminated with mercury that the fish are unsafe to eat. The amount of selenium in the waters around Hong Kong is unsafe and may cause sterility of males. The air pollution of Guangzhou, China is twice as bad as anywhere in the US. The Thames River of London is still so polluted that swimming is unsafe. You better begin to understand the true situation before you place blame.

America is also the most productive country, so the productivity per unit of pollution is much better than most of the world.

You cannot just take the pollution and criticize the US without putting it in context. Why are environmental zealots so oblivious to the human and economic impact of their policies?
