You show a disturbing lack of understanding for how foreign policy works in the world. All countries make alliances, some are good, some not so good. In the end it usually comes down to the old adage "The enemy of my enemy is my friend". This may not be the most preferred way to do things in layman views and it often backfires, but if anyone has alternative workable proposals, I am sure most in the world would love to hear them. Just ignoring the problems will not resolve them. So we are left with invasion and occupation which amounts to imperialism, or alliances with the hope of a particular outcome.

The United States has made many poor choices long before the present crises. We supported Noreiga, Batista, Ngo Dien Diem, Chiang Kai Shek just to mention a few. A large part of the problem is that we continue to meddle in other countries' affairs and want to be the super-hero and support the man of the moment. We supported Marcos while he raped the Philippines and then left with hundreds of millions of dollars...because he allowed us to have an air base there. The Mafia, with the tacit blessing of the US, controlled Cuba under the Batista regime. We literally abducted the Dalai Lama from Tibet and now he is unwanted as he visits other nations who have relations with China. We need to stay at home and tend to our business instead of trying to police the world. At present there are about 23 major conflicts in the world, and several of those are caused by foreign intervention. I was recently in Myanmar with the Karen people fighting against the junta controlling the country. It was sad to see people being killed by both Russian and American anti-personnel mines but the best thing is for us not to interfere...let the people solve their own problems. We have a problem with both North Korea and Iran as a result of WW II and the Korean War. Global diplomacy has failed because there are too many Cinderellas...they look great...but come midnight, we learn too late that they hadn't the foggiest idea of what they were talking about. Being in country makes a state department envoy an expert...they know nothing.

The foreign diplomacy of Bush administration can be better explained to you in your own language by the following example. When you play cricket in your neighbourhood there are some neighbours who help you in the game by picking up the ball that may accidentally fall in their house compound but at the same time some would chide you for playing in the vicinity of glass houses. So there two different set of neighbours you live with everyday. How would you treat the one that helps you and how would you treat the one that chides you. This is how a country's foreign policy is mostly run.

We always have....Dating back to the 1960s and 70s... Park Chung Yee, DW Botha, Samosa, Ferdinand Marcos, Pinochet, Echeverria, Suharto, the death squads of Honduras, El Salvador,
the South Vietnamese Govt... As the former UN Ambassador once said " They may be bastards but they are our bastards " .
See the movie Syriana... Its about securing resources and other things for our strategic vested interests.
Remember Cheney voted to keep Nelson Mandela in prison.

Read just a little history. It's all explained
We have always supported some bad guys, in order to save lives from worse guys.
This started in the 1800's.
If you don't approve, you'll have to move to another country.
Oops! All countries do it.

It's called foreign policy, may not always sit well, but sometimes you have to dance with the devil. When you get past 7th grade you can learn more and maybe someday understand how it all works.

Its a dilemma: overlook approximately dictators and their states or do no longer overlook approximately them the two way, u.s. is screwed and we unload money on the situation of those terrible places in the midsection east. enable them to combat it out and one and all stroll away. it somewhat is a muslim combat. enable them to all bypass at it.

unfortunately reality has a bigger part to play in life than your simplistic views.
you gotta pick whichever side you think is best for your own interests at any given time.
most of the time we make the best decision we know and hope for the best both personally and nationally.

Do you want war? WORLD WAR? If the USA started ousting every dictator then that's what you'd have.
