"What did the president know, and when did he know it?"

Republican Senator Howard Baker of Tennessee asked that question several times during the Senatre hearings on the Watergate break-in that led to the resignation of Republican President Richard M. Nixon.

The hearings were held in 1973 and 1974.

I believe Nixon, but it is pertinent in many instances (Northwoods, Pearl Harbor, Iran/Contra, Mena-CIA Drug Cartel, Gay Prostitutes in Bush, Sr. Whitehouse) and many, many, many more plots, schemes, operations and projects by the USG to undermine the rights of the citizenry. Regardless of political affiliation, the President no longer has America's best interests in mind. Read up on how Clinton sold us out with ECHELON, forget Monica Lewinsky...democraps and repukelicans are mirror images: both set out to fill their coffers at our expense.

I think it was Woodward or Bernstein regarding Nixon and the VietNam War and/or Watergate.

Bob Woodward or Carl Bernstein, can't remember which one (or was it both?)

Or, maybe it came up in the impeachment hearings.

Circumstances were the Watergate investigation.
