Hmm... First of all, it's Sponge Bob, not SpogeBob... Why do people never use the spell check offered on most websites??
Secondly, I'm pretty sure the US government was not behind the creation of the cartoon. In fact, I'm pretty sure it was a collaboration between Nickelodeon and Stephen Hillenburg...
Thirdly, the US wouldn't be a world power if the height of our glory was a cartoon show... Sorry if Sponge Bob is an integral part of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, but in the US, it's just a children's show... We have a great government that does more productive things than play on Yahoo Answers...

For some reason when I saw this question, I knew who was asking it. Here's my problem with you. I saw you say in another answer that your beef with republicans was personal, because a group of them were mean to you and your daughter. 1- There's republican jerks ......that's no surprise. There's jerks in all walks of life. You dont think the democratic party has it's fair share of jerks? I guarantee you they do. 2- I have a white friend who was mugged by 2 black men. Since then he's been extremely racist and talks about how he hates black people. How is what you're doing any different? A few republicans were jerks to you so now you hate all of them? Nice logic.

Although the U.S. Has generated war, It has generated some good as well... It is true that they ( and this doesn't apply to all) do not appreciate a lot of things we do, but let's face it, how many times have we screwed up our own image, the question is, How many times are we gonna screw up our own image?
Being an Immigrant in america, and being in a community that doesn't take kindly on 'brasileiros'... it is hard, but i have made a name and above all RESPECT for myself...
